    Hatem Ben Arfa is bossing the game for Newcastle, causing all sorts of problems in a free role just behind the striker. The Magpies are on top, showing more positive intent than the Hammers.

    We've often had a decent first half followed by a second that is very poor... Like West Brom recently, or Villa away. Hopefully this time we can keep it up.

    Just much much better. Should have maybe went in one up is the only disappointment and Elliot worries me. Played some ok stuff at times and more than anything did the bare minimum - give 100%. Can we do two halfs though?

    Yes. So long as bloody Wigan & Villa don't win!

    As Pouchy says, no reason why we can't take all three points based on the first half. But how likely are we to repeat the performance?

    And will he still bring Shola on after 60?
