Just posted the full time score from Hull on their scoreboard with 10 minutes to go. Although slightly different as they still have to score again but I personally think that shouldn't be allowed
Well their second goalkeeper got a nasty neck injury, hence delay. You can't for the life of me take 16 minutes from the game to keep in line with other matches playing.
The difference is that Hull where already promoted if they won. Nothing can be as foul as the Jimmy Hill episode. Glad to see Bristol City go down as a footnote as well for their complicity in the whole affair.
The only way you could have done it would be to stop all the other games, until play resumed at Watford and kick on from there.
No comparison at all for me. The horrible chin delayed their game deliberately then made tannoy announcements as BOTH teams gained by the draw! Leeds gained nowt from this game and it would be naive to even think, that without the score board that the news wouldn't be funnelled to the Watford players. They would have been busting a gut score board or no score board.
Agree about the time trouble but you can stop teams, on the last day of the season, putting the score up because of the delay. Not as bad as 77 for us but same principle. Anyone saying "no comparison" read my op properly as I said the situation was different but the principle is the same
But they didn't DO A COVENTRY! Coventry DELIBERATELY delayed the kick off then announced updates as both teams only needed a draw. This delay was because of injuries, no intent to gain an advantage. Any results posted on the scoreboard was of interest to only one team. The two events are so far different, I stand by no comparison.
And there was only one aim for Watford today and that was to win their game right from the kick-off, not even be concerned of what was happening in the Hull game.
