supporting striker/mid-field link? got to be Larsson. Over the last 4 games he's been the one to put his foot on the ball and play the passes that open up teams and he can finish. Prefer to see him centre/right where he's most effective, not on the left bloody wing (derp). I'd expect Johnson to have the supporting role ability in his locker but think he's better on the wing.
I must have watched a different Larsson to you then mate. One or two good passes when under NO pressure. When he is put under pressure which is 99% of the time he gives negative or hospital balls. The rest of the time is spent being a headless chicken, that the oppos stroll past at will. He was embarrassingly bad against Villa. We will have to have players in place to harry the Stokies, to stop their hoof ball up field. Thereby bypassing our midfield, if we allow them to actually pick their passes without pressure I would fear the worst. Love him or hate him McC grafts his socks off and likes to put his foot in. I have a feeling this could be N'Ds time to shine, I have seen improvement each game he has played. I think Gardner will be the nearest player to Graham. Hopefully we will actually pass the ball to Graham for once, no striker can score if you don't pass him the ball.
Disagree with this. Larsson is one of the worst centre midfielders in the premier league. No pace, power or goal threat. Plus his set piece delivery has been **** this season. Gardner is one of our only goal threats and he must play as the 2nd striker on Monday IMO.
Yeah cause the likes of Maradona,Tevez, Del Piero, Pato, Zola, Juninho and our very own Paolo have struggled throughout their careers due to their inability to head a ball like Drogba.
agreed , but i cant see the comparison with johnson , the players you mention are far superior to him in every way
I wasn't comparing, I was responding to an absurd comment from yourself which beared no relevance to anything
