    Jordan Pickford is in the England squad for the under 17s world cup in Mexico. Another academy product to look out for?

    He is only young and a lot can happen but in the Daily Mail (Yes them again) report about the last Under 17 game they did say he looked a really outstanding prospect.

    Seems the Gulf War and the build up to Desert Storm might have done the name a favour by raising awareness of the Middle East.

    Shame, my old man insisted on giving me Baghdad as a middle name.

    Ive read it but dont be overly concerned. Adam Johnson didnt sign for Sunderland as a kid because we didnt have an academy, whereas boro did. As for the kids you mentioned, from the sounds of it we have plenty of talent coming through, maybe these two didnt make the cut..simples
