Sorry that your new job has not been sorted yet ak, but thanks for the coffee. Sure things will turn out for the best.

Dull and murky start to the day here, but it is going to improve as the day passes if the Meteo can be believed. Need to pop along and restock at the cave this morning as I think tomorrow could be stressful. The build up to these games is as bad as for a cup final.

Beautiful morning again here. Mrs H has lost so much weight she's taken all her posh dresses to sell to a second hand shop...replacing them could be costly!

At least I've had something to take my mind off tomorrow this week. 'The Wide Embrace' is now available on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle. The link is below:

    http://amazon.co.uk/dp/1484854241

Any feedback or reviews will be much appreciated. After the weekend I'll have to turn my attention to revising the third book in the series...or at least to thinking about when I might start planning to organise the possibility of arranging the best way of considering...well, putting it off for a bit then <laugh>

Thanks for the coffee Ak, perhaps if it snows the phone will ring. Good luck, hope you find out before the weekend (or is he a Hull supporter and waiting for the results before offering you the job?) :bandit:

No-one in our household was working this afternoon [two of us are self employed, one works in a bar, one should be at uni and one works in a school, so pretty shocking that we were all around on a Friday] so we had an impromptu BBQ. Well, by impromptu, I mean in addition to the pre-arranged one I will probably miss at the same time tomorrow.

In my defence I helped make some stuff up for today and tomorrow, and when it comes to BBQs I more than pull my weight on the food side. My dad cooks better than I ever could, but when he decides what to cook it looks like we've broken into an abattoir without bothering to stop off at the greengrocer's. My additions to the usual fare of burgers include sweet BBQ chicken marinade for the chicken kebabs (if I'm being picky I cut the onions and pepper up for those too), buttered corn on the cob cooked with husks still on, stuffed peppers, pork and pineapple skewers, and perhaps most controversially of all tuna burgers: an egg, tin of tuna, whatever seasoning takes your fancy, and a pitta bread cut in half will do two. Controversial because they usually replace beef burgers altogether, but not this time...

Having had my fill for today, tomorrow I will be enjoying the vegetarian option. Alcohol.
