in the end that alex pearce stuff is just a symptom of complete malaise around the club.

we're more interested in a tour that in players, we'll hear that once the season is over everyone goes on holidays then there'll be endless comments online about when are we signing someone. we'll be in preseason before anyone gets round to asking about someone's availability. we'll go on tour then return then panic sell carroll and fail to buy someone cos we won't pay wages.

so in the end... its still better than cricket!

We'll have to agree to differ on that, certainly in terms of the actual game itself.

prefer the format of the ipl, sorry RHC lol you probably like the old format of the good old test matches, but i love seeing Gayle batter the ball 110m. (plus i don't have sky sports any way, whats my ****ing tv licence pay for? ****s!)

cricket is not as good as snoker for sleeping bu it is better for boozing on a summers day i reckon. the only reason cricket survives in this country is the all day drinking... has to be... that and southern ponces like RHC ;) supporting it.

Went to one test match at Lords ... was so bored.

If I had to physically go to a ground and watch a match, I prefer ODI's or 20/20's.

Test matches - I can watch on the tv.

I don't follow the IPL or County stuff anymore really, and 20/20 is a gimmicky slogfest.

A five day test match is the mutt's nut's,the ebb and flow etc..........

This. I really enjoy tests, certainly the Ashes, but only when I'm lounging around at home, doing other things at the same time. To dedicate a whole day to it sitting in a plastic seat? that takes some patience. Unless it's a thrilling last day chase or something

I would also perfer to watch test than one day or 20:20 as i find the other two so limited in terms of bowler options and thats me being serious for once this week. ebb and flow is a good way to put it.

tactical and long drawn out, is another good way of putting it as well.

test matches are good for people who have the time to go and see a 5 day match with not much usually happening or watching it on the tele,

20/20 works because it gives you a chance to see a game that is over that day, and you also get a day in the sun (hopefully) and a few beers. also see a lot of runs and wickets hopefully, certainly more exciting than test matches, which is why it appeals to people now days, esp to the younger generation ;) although i m 38 in a few weeks, don't think that's an old fart just yet lol
