Could Alfie play in the Yaya Toure role (when he plays further up the field behind the striker) now Sess is suspended

god knows were our goals are going to come from, squad needs more options and more quality in the summer

Nope. Our cm is god awful as it is, need him there imo.

Hopefully Wickham gets himself fit to play with DG

Wickham is no saviour unless he receives more support and quality feed from more determined players. We need the attitude we had agaqinst NUFC.

N'D has improved with each game as he gets used to the pace of the Prem imho.
Theirs no doubting if he gets the sights adjusted on his boots he may help out with goals.

My fear is Larsson is going to be put in MF with him and N'D is going to have to do two men's graft.

Not many options on that front.

His strength and pace means I'd only ever play him as a box to box midfielder

What's actually wrong with Wickham? He should be biting at the bit to make the most of this chance of playing. Not to mention a small matter of a relegation battle !

I heard it was a calf strain, perhaps it is abit more serious if its his shin aswell. Hopefully he's been able to train this week to work on a system without Sess and get used to playing with Graham, otherwise it's pointless even starting him in Mon.

Ha, at least we'd get chance to smack Pardrew next season if he's sat in the dugout next to us.

shawcross and huth will win every ball in the air all day every day, play with short passes around both these, the deeper the better.
the idea of rose pushing on against these two man mountains appeals to me

Would it be too radical to consider Jack Colback at left back and Rose on the wing? I just think that McClean and Johnson don't provide enough threat. We rarely get behind opposition fullbacks.
