Of course they damage the pitch, just like we do when we play on it. The argument is that they don't damage it excessively/more than football. Running with studs on grass causes it to be cut up. We would have the same problem if we had 2 football games on it in two days.

I think a big part of the problem is that they've been looking at horticultural solutions to an engineering problem. Sunlight won't make plastic grow

Those fat bastards have to make a few dents in the mud when they throw each other into the floor. I'd expect there's quite a few holes aswell from when they get a boner whilst being piled on by several other sweaty grubby men. It's inevitable...

I'm not saying rugby is any worse than football.

I'm saying two teams is worse than one which is bleeding obvious.

You should bring a blanket like the rest of us <ok>

It's a mix of the lack of sunlight and having multiple teams use the pitch... There's no way rugby tears it up more though. Football players twist and turn at all angles with their studs in and RL players generally just run. I imagine most of the time an RL player stopping someone in their tracks wouldn't do as much damage as a slide tackle in football. Still, it's all damage isn't it.

I was going to take a tartan blanket when I was given tickets for the west stand, but our lass wouldn't go so I just took the blanket.

It's a cunning plan to attempt to reduce Cardiff's beautiful flowing football to the level exhibited by Hull city. Well, if the last 3 weeks are anything to go by that is the case.

Cardiff don't play beautiful flowing football.

Where is this idea coming from?

This might be a radical idea but here we go........
The pitch has been **** with the 'plastic' elements and doesn't work, now for the radical bit..... why not just use grass and build it up year after year, it worked at Boothferry Park, Old Trafford etc!

Well i don't mind watching abit of Rugby league and i still would say that Rugby affects the pitch more than football. I have yet to see one match of Rugby where i have not seen the pitch obviously cutting up throughout. Whereas, i very rarely see this happen when watching football. This to me says rugby causes more damanage to the pitch. I do agree that it was City's fault for leaving it to late to ask them to move.
