Anything is possible but it will have little to do with HBA or his agents desire, and everything to do with money and Mike Ashley. Represents a serious risk for any club with his injury record.

Liverpool fans would disagree, he handed them the initiative to slaughter us on Saturday! (still should have started though)

Normally when teams go down they are forced to sell on the cheap to reduce labour
to help combat the reduction in Loss of revenue

He gave them the initiative by daring to attack them for our collective first time in the game? I think the 2 sloppy goals in the first half handed them the initiative. Counter attacking was always going to get to our weak defence.

Overall, why wouldn't he leave? He's better than the s*** he's playing with, the manager treats him like s*** even though he relies on his magic, and he'll get more money elsewhere.

Is it a swap deal involving Bale, Defoe, Lennon & Dawson? If not they can get stuffed.

I am still trying to work out what exactly HBA has done to deserve such undying adulation?

For me there is no doubt we started the 2nd half well and he took the wind out of our sails by fannying on in the wrong areas. He should have released it to the 5 or 6 options he had. But its HBA so he is above criticism. It was ****e. As I say I'd start him whether he is fat or not but can't pretend he was blameless, he played his part like the rest.

Personally I think he was fouled for their break. There's a shoulder charge, and then there's quite obviously pushing someone to the ground. He flopped like the rest afterwards of course, but for that 10 minute period we did look dangerous for the first time in a long-time (at home anyway).

I sincerely hope this rumour isn't true.

A very good player on his day, but we've had our fair share of players constantly in the medical room over the year, thanks.

Hopefully "He'll not be going for any less than £20m" is the price we are actually quoted, so we can move on very quickly.

I thought it was a foul as well. I loved the way the BBC conveniently cut the coverage so you couldn't see the Liverpool player climbing all over HBA for about 10 yards before he was dispossessed.

    Hatem Away?

From what I've seen he's not fully fit and certainly overweight, if Pardew bucks his ideas up I reckon we could get a point against him.

If his commitment is less than 100% then replace him in my book. With what he'd command we could bring in Thomas Ince, Will Buckley, Will Hughes and Aaron Cresswell and Harry McGuire. People say homegrown talent cost a fortune? Maybe so if you can't think past the likes of Phil Jones or Andy Carroll.

For most of his spell with us he has been a 'nearly' player. Whether that's been because of injuries or poor tactical decisions, he hasn't lived up to the hype.

He would probably go on to do great things as soon as he leaves, but we should get decent money for him. Apart from one or two unbelievable goals that are benefiting us in no way now, he hasn't done much.

£20 mil might be a little steep considering his circumstances injuries/attitude. But the talent the lad has would command more than the 10 you're suggesting, easily.

If Ben Arfa is being viewed as a replacement for Gareth Bale who is more than likely to carry an insane transfer fee, that will also give us an advantage.
