http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/010513-transfer-policy-801571.aspx As ever, talking a lot of sense. I particularly like the bit about him learning a lot from the mistakes of the last 2 years. If TF and Harry manage to keep Remy (not particularly implied anywhere in this article so don't get too excited), I'll gladly pay the same price for my ST as last year!
Of course some of the players let go after promotion are about to be promoted again with Cardiff. It will be interesting to see what Cardiff do with Smith and Connolly.
I don't think they or HH were regular starters for Cardiff. We all love HH, but he spends a lot of time injured.
It may seem painful now, but if we look back in five years and see that as a result of a year in the Championship we gained a better squad long term, that can only be a good thing going forward. We've got to trust that Tony and Harry will learn lessons and move us forward as a result. Encouraging read though even with the subtle dig at Warnock.
Vincent Tan had kind words for your team hoping for two Malaysian backed teams to be in the premier league. You may be down but you are not out, you will have the best manager and still have money to play with. If I can get decent odds I will definitely back you to win the championship. best wishes, jck
HH was one player we should definitely have kept hold of. At least he got some game time unlike AJ who has only kept the medics employed along with Zamora.
Oh the benefit of hindsight! Let's hope TF and 'Arry have gained some hindsight experience. I think they actually might have done.
Not convinced on the HH 'love-in' and his possible impact in the premiership. Maybe he would have impressed, maybe not. Can never be answered now. Clear that there was no policy in place; and tough/expensive lessons learned.
Its not hindsight, at least 90% of us didnt want HH sold at the time. The same can be said for bringing in Johnson, he doesnt score and is always injured.
He was our top scorer in the PL despite being out for half the season scoring more than a goal every 2 games.
Why oh why did we sell Helguson and buy Johnson. I remember at the time stating Johnson would not be fit for the full season and that we should steer well clear. And to top it off his goalscoring record in the PL was and is awful.
Very true mate. My god its frustrating though! Sounds like we are altering our transfer policy now though which is good news.
