We're still in the mix for relegation at the moment...

Wigan catching us is not too far from saying we can catch WBA - and look how unlikely that would be! Even catching Swansea, three points ahead of us, is pretty unlikely.

Playing it during the season shows a total lack of respect for what should IMHO be the last game of the Domestic season ..

I'm sure plenty on here remember whan the FA cup Final was a DAY of entertainment and excitement .

From the moment the teams got up in the morning in the hotel right the way through .

    West Brom vs Wigan
    Tottenham vs Saints

If Wigan lose and we pick up anything we are safe. Even if we lose we are basically safe if they lose as well. Unless Wigan win and we lose I'm not going to worry.

Yes, and I believe you can blame your provider Mr Murdoch for that as well. :)

For all of Wigan's history of escaping the drop, they don't look likely to do so this year. The QPR match, with its early red, was the sort of situation that they would have converted into a thumping win in years past; instead, they looked flat and required a last-gasp goal to rescue a point. For the most part, they're still fighting as hard as ever and clearly still have their self-belief -- took City to the wire, came damned close to beating Spurs and probably should have been up 4-1 by the time of the own goal -- but a combination of fixture pileup, players lost in the summer and injuries have them coming up just short. They'll battle, but they look to be just one moment of quality (or, often, defensive lapse) behind their past efforts.

And playing five times in sixteen days certainly won't help; cup runs are dangerous things without the safety of mid-table obscurity or a squad the size of a small city.

Spot on. Thankfully I have an ESPN subscription and from 9am of the day, they are doing it all old school.

Did it last year and watched it, an absolute marathon and great stuff.

I'm a known non-lover of Mr Murdoch, BD. I'm, at the very least, consistent. :)

Positive spin: We're still in the race for a top-half finish.

Exactly this. How many of us would have turned down the position we are in now if we were offered it after that God awful spell at the start of the season.

With 3 games to play, 2 of which are to other bottom half teams:-

    7 points clear of relegation.
+ 10 at least on other teams below us on GD, bar 1.
    3 points off 9th.

I would have taken your arm off. If this is how some people deal with the least stressful relegation battle I know of, then I hate to think how they deal with their real life problems, Samaritans must be flat out!

No it wouldn't, its pretty much on its own day anyway, with all Premier league games bar one moved to the sun.
It is a late kick because tv want that, nothing to do with what time of season or what day.

Quite a bit of Norwich negativity on your board too.We have posters saying that we won't get another point despite having two home games and having lost only three at home all season.Realistically you lot are safe and we have four teams beneath us.My measure is this: 18th olace has run two or three points below games played all season. At the risk of upsetting Mr H.P.Sauce (again) the strong likelihood is Wigan followed by one of the 37point teams.

I've probably missed it but cant recall seeing Norwich mentioned in this mix. One less point than us, next three games H. Villa, H.WBA. A. Man City.......why are we agonising so much? Now off to find my horse-linament, apply to neck-ache caused by continuingly looking over shoulder...

Any man who thinks all I want to do is to read about soaps, royalty, celebrities, soccer and to look at young girls tits has got the wrong bloke.

A rather unpleasant little Aussie and he can stick his sky and sun up his proverbial.

Does that convince you I don't like him much either.

Goodness it is great being a grumpy old blighter.

Murdoch only owns 39% of BSkyB so it's not really that bad.
