I am expecting a bit knocked off the price (not much, say £40) and obviously there are more games. I expect wages to go down to partly accomodate that. If they try the more games therefore same price trick, I think they will lose a few fans. Didn't TF says he would announce something this week??
The current cheapest ticket is £499. This equates to £26.26 a match for 19 games. Millwall's cheapest ticket is £249 which equates to £10.82 per match for 23 games. Even if we keep the current prices the same and thus giving us the four extra games gratis, we will still be paying a minimum £21.69 a game. If they decide to raise prices regardless and try to spin us the old '' London based football club '' yarn. We should quote the above figures at them. Even if the prices are kept the same we will still be paying more than twice what our championship neighbours do.
There would have to be a huge price cut to encourage me to see 23 games of NPC football. Thats not going to happen, but how many sell out games are we going to have? I'll get membership, see a few home games and a whole lot more away games. Fact is, unless the running costs of the club are cut dramatically, variations in attendance won't make much difference, as gate receipts are nowhere near enough to cover outgoings. Thats why we need a bigger stadium, which of course we will only get near to filling in the Prem. Vicious circle. Good figures Nines. I'd pay 400 for my current ST and not feel so guilty about missing a few games. But thats nearly 50% off (i think).
£10 a match to watch Millwall is a rip-off - especially after you've added a supplement for personal injury and life insurance
Interesting prices there. For me a slight reduction is acceptable seeing as its a lower standard of football, but also has more games. Definitely a reduction though - freezing the price wouldnt be right imo.
When we went into the Premier League, they increased the prices by over 20%. I would therefore expect a decrease in prices this season in the region of 10%.
I don't care, I wouldn't even pay the train fare to watch that shower of ****e. I'm looking at £50 per game even with a big reduction and I'd only do that for a team worth watching.
My two gold tickets cost me just shy of £700 each this season. Given the increase when we were promoted, I would hope for a reduction to £600 each, or even less, possibly £550. I think I'm going to be disappointed: £650 is my bet, a 7% decrease. They do have some rather large bills (i.e. wages) to pay.
Already decided not to buy but sons are as their mates are all Palace and Charlton ... I hope to be abroad a lot this summer looking for a house so it's far better value to buy as and when for me
I'll get my 3 whatever they are but really hoping for a reduction. Paying for a family holiday is breaking me already
Anything above £600 is a pisstake in the second tier IMO. £550 for gold, £450 for silver and £350 for bronze is a fair price but not chance of that.
I'm blindly hoping for a large reduction. With TV money, advertising etc even in the championship tickets provide a tiny percentage of the clubs income. If they dont knock prices down I think they'll be losing fans. Personally I may be moving next year so unless it is considerably cheaper I cant explain any reason why I should get it.
