The final game of the season! We are about to end our ten year stay in second tier of English football so don your fancy dress, crack open a few beers and enjoy the occasion. Unless your a Hull City fan. The Tigers must be bricking it having let a 7 point lead over Watford slip and anything but a victory against our already promoted side might see them face the agony of the playoffs. Hoping for Leeds to do them a favor may not be such a good idea as the Hornets will play with no pressure and have already put six past this Leeds outfit earlier in the season. What a tough game to predict this will be. Will Hull come at us with the intention of winning their Premier League place or will their nerves get he better of them? How many changes will Mackay make? Will he want to do his old club a favor? And fitting it is, as a lot is riding on the final game of the 2012 - 2013 Prediction League season! Blue, not to sure about cracking a few bears! but I reckon this will be a backs to the wall if the tigers really go for it. Saying that I'm going for a 2-0 bluebirds win with Gunnar and Maynard (if he plays) scoring, if not Maynard then Bellers.

The update - quite a bit of info to digest here! The Top Eldon Bluebird will be First Division Champion, unless Remote can produce a remarkable, record breaking prediction and make up a 7 point swing whilst hoping Eldon doesn’t pick up any points. Remote has nothing to lose in his last prediction this season but does have a 2 point cushion over third and will be keen to confirm the Runner Up spot by bettering the scores of those below him. Masked and GLAM still hold 3rd and 4th and will need maximum points to maintain that depending on the chasers result. GLAM needs to better H’s result to confirm a Top Four place. H is still in a good position to snatch a Top Four spot, with his bonus point he is level with GLAM and needs to better his result to secure a Top Four finish. Blue Sheep (myself) has a long shot, needing maximum points and the previous three to drop points. Eldon, Remote, H and Sheep will pick up a bonus point for full house of predictions.
The Bottom Bluebird Nat, Bissmit and Domdimdom are all relegated to Division 2. Division 2 Jonahbluebird has effectively confirmed his promotion to Division 1 bar outstanding circumstances. He needs to better Steveoldiho’s result to confirm the Title and set a record points tally for Division 2, which was won with just 29 points last season. (Jonah’s equivalent is 35 pts) Pressure on for Steve! He leads The Exile and Danablu by 2 points and needs to better his score to keep that margin and his place in next season’s top flight. He can still steal the title by making up the 2 point gap on Jonah. Last chance shot at automatic promotion for Exile and Danablu. They need to make up the two point difference and better Steve’s result to achieve this, as well as hoping the other does not do as well. Both are confirmed a playoff so their seasons are already extended but Exile already knows the heartbreak of losing a playoff final. Danablu will pick up a bonus point for predicting in all the games.
Hunt For The Playoffs 3 points separate 5th place from 9th. GhostofNinian and Blueturk the Cat hold the final two playoff berths, level on 42 points (including the Cat’s bonus) and are only 1 point from losing that precious place. They need to score max points and hope that nobody bellows them outscores them by two. Blueturk missed out on the last day last season also. Sayer (1 point behind), Swamp, UniBrumBluebird, OldSparkey and BluefromBridgend (2 points behind) all need max points and hope other around them and above drop points. Any high scores from this lot would be enough to disrupt the current order. Sparkey snatched the last berth on the last day last season. Blueturk the Cat, BluefromBridgend and Oldsparkey will pick up a bonus point for predicting in all the games. Wooden Spoon I have decided (perhaps unfairly) to award the wooden spoon to Daibush, who is only one currently predicting. I hope it encourages him onto the greater things next season.

We've drawn the last three games and I'll go for another one tomorrow. The scoreline is another matter. Let's say a 2-2 potential heartbreaker for Hull. Turner and Kimbo with the goals. Sheepy (and H) - brilliant job on this prediction league again this season. Really adds another dimension to this board - well done and thanks.
