pearce and lee (were also.. two utter flops... neville being "part" of agent hodgson's soon to be england disaster is hardly going to counter the shearer argument. I think putting distance between you and the team you were part of is ok but not by being a pundit... thats the worst job of all. carrgher has a chance to work beneath someone now. once you become manager yuo can't go become a no 2 like adams without losing all credibility with chairmen out there.

if carrgehr were to say work with youths then reserves as we see him develop that'd be great but i'm SURE rodgers is bloody delighted carragher isn't somewhere at the club to take over from him.

Not too sure about this to be honest.

    Still an absolute legend though.

Just saying that perhaps he doesn't want to do it the way mito would choose - he is his own man.

Saying punditry is the worst job of all is your opinion, carra watches football constantly so will be absolutely clued up about players and leagues all over the world and won't just be re-wording some sports journos column like most <ok>

  7. Maybe he will be a part-time pundit? Can still be a coach too then!

thats fair enough. I would just have liked him to prepare for the big job by really getting in there and working his way up and completing his education in the game.

He might be a good pundit but he might not either. Really not sure, its more about what he reacts to. Neville suprised everyone by really dropping the bias and just shooting straight. If carrgher can do that he could be good. I eman lets face it we don;t want more ian wirghts, garth crooks, jamie redknapps or worst of all ray wilkins (shudders)

I just am disappointed as it means he severs ties to the club in the summer and that means that maybe he won't be back.
