I don't think vettel will be on edge coming to Monaco like he was in 2010 since he did put it in the wall the year before that. I understand a more experienced driver is useful at this place, but people thought Webber was going to outclass Vettel last week and it didn't happen.

I expect him to do this again knowing if he wins this, a podium will do fine for Canada and then roll on Valencia, Britain, Germany and Hungary.

Monaco will be an ideal opportunity for Hamilton to bag a win, relatively slow but high precision driving, right up his street, particularily if its a tad damp !

The Monaco Grand Prix is a unique race on the championship calendar and, often the drivers like to display something unusual, either on the car, their race suit or their helmet. As from tomorrow morning’s free practice, Fernando Alonso will be using something special: a helmet with the same design but new colours, as the traditional yellow and blue have been changed for a gold-white combination. This scheme will also be used in Singapore, the second street circuit on the 2011 calendar and it is in a worthy cause: the helmet will be auctioned at the end of the championship and proceeds will go to the Fondazione Fernando Alonso which is mainly involved in projects aimed at developing road safety initiatives for children.

In addtion, here's the Monaco football game:

Nice design. Hopefully one of the drivers with a less distinctive design will place the highest bid. <ok>

Did Webber not jump in the pool after winning Monaco last year?

Or am I wrong? The second person looks like a rather wet Jake Humphrey?

Typical Vettel trying to steal Webber's thunder.

Anyone around for first practice? I've managed to wangle a 'working at home' day.

OMG! Ecclestone idea of artificial rain being tested on Monaco!

A waterpipe seems to have "bursted" a water is leaking on to the finish strait. I'm sure it was made as it looked like an acident lol

Aren't teams supposed to have a gearbox change here at Monaco?

Mark Webber's gearbox is gone... does that mean a 5 place grid penalty?

Only if he's previously changed it.

First fire, now flood. Is a famine likely in Monte Carlo?
