The Awakening ... The Phoenix ... The Re-birth.

I visited a monastery yesterday in Polemi Cyprus and lads everything will be fine and dandy ... It has been foretold ... I gave an old lady with a wonky white eye and very bad feet 60 Euros ... she gave me yellow cake and told me things are about to get better... Today is a new day brothers

The man from Luxeil is definitely on the right track here. Is it coincidence that since we have been relegated I have enjoyed the sun upon my face and a sense of relief in my heart?

It was the longest of kisses goodbye to the Prem. Now I'm just glad that we can forget about the horrible nightmare of the last 8 months and live with renewed anticipation and optimistic eagerness throughout the summer.

Mate, only speaking from experience (& Dave will prob shoot me down) If its aimproved physicality then get him to do MMA training over boxing. Training techniques are very similar but the MMA boys work more on thier legst than boxers. Also concerntrate on putting a lot more power into leg and body shots as opposed to speed & technique in boxing.
Obviously he doesnt have to fight in the cage or anything as its a bit more brutal. Its just that i found from personal experience that MMA is boxing training on steriods !!
Obviously thiere are the down sides but MMA / Cage fighting is big in Germany and there should be no shortage of gyms or clubs to work out at !

For the record, I much prefer boxing to Cage fighting or MMA. Before anyone gets the wrong idea !

    Cue Daves total ihnialation.........!! <laugh>

No not at all Queens, the MMA stuff is very good for increasing power to weight ratios as well as being a great stamina builder.
There' s a relatively new concept that's appeared on the Gold Coast called Zuu, I did my Master Trainer badge about six months ago, it's based on primal movement patterns, i.e. the **** we used to do when chasing mammoths and sabre tooth tigers, Brisbane Lions, Cronulla Sharks (don't laugh), Bronco's and Western Force have all introduced it into their fitness regimes. If you want Ian I can put him brought the mill for you? My class on a Friday lunchtime gets destroyed...in a good way! It's the toughest workout going mate, strength and stamina combined.

Give me a call and we'll get it going, how old is your boy again?

Have to say Dave, I haven't ben a gym instr. for years but I still try to keep up with modern tech and the like.
I've noticed a distint return to the old school type of training with dumbells, curcuits and the like.
Seems most gyms are going away from the "machine based" programs and getting back to the "old military style" training; so as to speak.
As for the MMA, the power to weight is phenomenal esp with the smaller fighters. I always found it good but you needed the attitude to walk into the gym in the first place...always a sticking point for some.
Would love to learn more about the "Zuu" thing. gonna look into that out of interest. Not gonna do anything the Broncs are doing though as they cant win F-all at the mo!!

    Cheers Dave <ok>

Mate, watched plenty of You tube on the Zuu thing and not buying into it YET. Looks likes a variation of circuit training/ martial art training and aerobics..bit like boxercise!!
Obviously Its gonna be harder than it looks & would love to give it as go!!
From a PR side it'll be intreting to see if this lasts or makes it.
What is the "selling" point of zuu Dave? I don't get it. Is it just re-marketing circuit/ aerobic workouts?
Cant see much most footy, athletes or circuit "doers" wouldn't do anyway?
Not bagging it mate...just don't get it..any info greatly accepted !
