The manager is the most important factor in any campaign. Whilst his record of silverware is scant, there's an opportunity here for 'Arry to sign off in glory in a couple of years time. No guarantees of course but we could've ended up with much worse options. Should be fun watching. Just hoping he can avoid going south. Dread the thought of doing a Wolves.
It's a gamble either way - keep the best of what we have and give them a season or build from scratch and hope that 3 or so years will be enough to climb out (if ever). Certainly the Crewe academy, for example, has done fantastic things and brought some gems through but they never got to any lofty heights (although arguably overachieved and helped the longevity of the club). Finding someone to steer that ship and, more importantly, having a back up plan in case the driving force departs (a la Rodgers to Laudrup) is not easy and perhaps banking on being able to do that is an equally risky gamble. Continuity, a mix of young and old and a good scouting network is the best we can reasonably expect and any good players/characters (to use this week's buzz word) that stay is a bonus. That's my opinion anyway (and I have spent the last 9 months being wrong)...
Quote from TF after the meeting with Harry about players not pulling their weight: âItâs an alien concept to me that someone takes someoneâs salary, doesnât put 100 per-cent in, thinks: âOh, we lost. No big deal. What club are we going to tonight?â That is an alien concept to me. âIt wasnât right to say anything during the season, but I noticed everything and I am a little bit wiser for it now.â Sounds like some butt will get kicked.
Chuffed he is staying....Harry is a good manager and he inherited a horrendous group of players. If nothing else, he will be able to attract quality in the summer, we wouldn't have been able to with a lesser manager. Great news IMO.
Look forward to waving tata to you when we go up via the play offs. And waving tata to all those millions twitchy has spent/smuggled into his Cayman Island account. Also known as Rover. Just like his dog.
Your form says we will se you next season......3 points in the last 10 games, means your out of form and will probably be out in the 1st round.
Your chance is slim based on your form and you know it. We are going down yes.....to re-build our squad and have a proper go in the top league in the next year or so.......Crystal Palace will remain a club in the championship for the next 10 years.
How much has old twitchy got on the weed scum beating us in the play offs then? And how much will his dog.....I mean secret Cayman Island account benefit from this inside information?
Harry's personal life is of little bother to any QPR fan......I couldn't give a flying **** about anything he does in his personal life, so playing that card is pointless. He's a better manager than Crystal Palace will ever dream of having. Dog blah blah...bank account....blah blah...change the record kidda
Well I'd say a tad fatter than slim of making the play off at least! But we are positively obese compared to you Biafrans when it comes to getting at shot at the top flight. Really. Doesn't it.
We had a similar manager back in the late 70's/early 80's who was a bit more special than old twitchy. He even managed Barcelona and England. Still took every club he managed for mugs though. And funnily enough, they are mates!
No, not really. We had a shot at it, two seasons in fact. You haven't even made it there yet you're ridiculing us!
See you ****ed up a chance of a good comeback there really. What you should have posted was....C U Next Term. But you didn't. And you won't.
Correct me if I'm wrong. And I am not but how many times have you been in the prem compared to us? Details please.
