Ex-Saint Kevin Moore passed away today aged 55. Suffered from pick's disease and required 24/7 care in the lead up to his death. Sad stuff. RIP Kevin DTLW
Sad News. Met him whilst on holiday 15 or so years back, had lots of time and talked about everything Saints. Good solid centre back. RIP Kevin
Sad news indeed. Moore was one of those players who gave his all on the field. Not the most gifted technically, but made the most of what he had. Fond memories of a few goals at the old Dell - a couple of towering headersfrom corners. RIP
Sad news...nasty illness Always remember him for his strike against Norwich. It flew in! The camera failed to keep up with it Though Matty stole the headlines with his perfect hat-trick.
RIP Kevin Moore Most vivid memory was the Zenith Data at Wembley when he scored a towering header. Dependable, good honest professional...RIP
He was a part of the team in one of my favourite ever seasons watching Saints, 1989/90. He was a dependable, no nonsense Centre Half who was always a threat at set pieces....Here's the goal against Norwich that was mentioned earlier.... This puts it into perspective, it is only a game, bad results come and go but the players should be remembered for their service to the club. RIP Kevin
Saints Alive. This was my first season and that game has always stuck in the old memory bank. Tiss best hatrick in my opinion. And a corker from Kevin Moore. RIP Saint Kevin Moore
I attended an awards evening many years ago where he spoke to young mechanic apprentices. He was great with them and a really nice guy and a good public speaker. Most of us are quite cynical about the supposed sincerity of footballers but this guys integrity was never in doubt. My sympathies go to his family and close friends. They have lost a fine man.
Sad, sad news. Not the most gifted of players, but always gave 100%, brave, solid, dependable player who I'm told was a very nice guy.
Deeply sad news, was a lovely bloke, a real gentle giant off the pitch. Always had time for a chat with fans in the Dell social club after games, down to earth, humble with a dry sense of humour. RIP Kevin
Remember having an old panini card of him in the early nineties, probably still in the house somewhere. Too young to remember him play though. Far too young an age to die, sympathies to families and friends. RIP
Having read a little about the condition Kevin had and it makes me feel even sadder. To lose your sense of self, what you achieved, who your loved ones are, must be heartbreaking for his family & friends to go through. To see a strong "man's man" like Kevin reduced to an empty shell, my heart goes out to them.
Very sad news. He was a very decent, humble man. One of the "intelligent" footballers with his engineering qualifications and reading Godders post above, typical of him to be offering support to young engineers/mechanics. RIP. Thoughts to all his family and friends.
All of the above. It puts it all into some sort of perspective I suppose. A horrible end to relatively young life. He will always be a part of the Saints 'family' but my thoughts and best wishes are to those who really knew and loved him.
