<peacedove>During our last summer transfer market our best buy of the season not from there.
Our best buy of the season came in January transfer market. It is either.
    1.Daniel Sturridge or
    2 Phillippe Coutinho..
    Whom do you vote for?.
To me, I vote for both.

Coutinho easliy for me but I really like Sturridge. Our other 3 signings were not even worth mentioning which is probably why you did not.

Coutinho for me, hasn't had a bad game yet, links up with Suarez well buy had his best game on Saturday without Suarez. Sturridge did go off the boil for a few games so for me Coutinho edges it <ok>

Coutinho. Sturrdige is very useful and certainly what we've been after. but Coutinho is our future, that lad is going places

  6. Easy choice, Fordinho! Cheaper and better (so far) than Sturridge <ok>

    PS...where's the poll?

Edit: and yes, I DO hold my hands up to this one since I didn't want him!

voting for both is how zimbabwe run thier country.

Its patently obvious that the state of our signings in the summer mean only a monster raving looney would vote for any of them.... meaning one man one vote = coutinho by a street.

sturridge is a flopper and a troublesome sort. He will get sent off soon i think and is also a bit of an injury worry.

Difficult one because they both could win it.

Sturridge has provided us with another presence in the box and more importantly, goals. Defenders would normally focus on Suarez but now they have another player to deal with.

Coutinho has been the biggest surprise me for. I knew he was a good player but I thought he would need a year or two to develop before making an impact. But he has come straight into the team and provided us with creativity and ability to unlock defences - those through balls are a thing of beauty.

Sturridge is 23, Coutinho is 20 - two quality young players who should hopefully make an impact for the next decade. Not only this, we bought the pair for £20m - great business in the transfer market (for a change) and it shows you the value out there.

Is the concept of a tactical change a bit too challenging for you? :)

  12. If you're not sure than just look for the player that destroys your beloved Everton on Sunday <ok>

    Reina
    Wisdom CB CB enrique
    Henderson DCM
    Sterling Coutinho suso
    Sturridge

funny how in 5 years we might if lucky see a team with a lot more maturity looking like this. Suddenly its only 3 players missing to have a team of some sort. coates has not worked, kelly as questions to answer and nobody else inspires me. i'd hope we focus very hard on quality form here on it and not make punts like assiadi and the like again.

I remember 3 years ago when people were making line ups with Wilson, Pacheco & Coady. Now they're miles away from the first team. One has already left and the other two will probably follow him out the door in the summer.

Too early to judge whether the likes of Suso, Sterling & Wisdom will make it here IMO.

The way Studge held off the defender and waited for the ball to come out of the sky for the second goal at Newcastle, then laid it off first time with an exquisite touch got me thinking of another skinny, but sinewy strong attacker who was also as hard as any 13st, muscle-bound battering ram type forward who gave big, ugly centre-backs a consistently hard ride, even if they were three stones heavier than him.

    Ian Rush anyone? :emoticon-0112-wonde

First season is not the time to judge players as successes or failures. But it's okay with managers if they deliver exactly what was advertised.

Judging managers too early...now who would do such a thing??

Coutinho so far. A total breath of fresh air. Sturridge has been hot and cold and looked completely brain dead at times but scoring goals is his job and no complaints on that score. Allen and Borini have looked like fish out of water so far but maybe Borini will kick on now he's scuffed his first goal in.
