    Although I disagree with most of what Lawrenson says I do agree that Harry will not want relegation to be his final chapter.

    I'm quite curious as to who would offer him a job that would be far superior to the one he has already?
    People have been saying West Ham, but I just can't imagine that he would re-visit that job, could or would he be as successful as he was there before?
    Add to that the wage that he is undoubtedly on at QPR and I think he will be with us next year.

    Over the past two seasons the main highlights for us have been the transfer windows, there has been little much else for us to shout about.
    Lets hope this summer's clear out or players focusing is not the only entertainment we get again.

    Apart from anything else, it is refreshing to read that;

    "It is not a Portsmouth where you didn’t know who the shadowy figures behind the scenes were. We know what owner Tony Fernandes is all about and he has been up front about his *commitment to the club."

    Cheers LR, nice positive article that is.

    Wish I felt quite as optimistic myself. History tells you that we're more likely to drop another division then we are to bounce straight back. It all depends on Harry and what kind of surgery he is able to do to the squad. My fear is that is talked himself into a corner by, on the one hand saying that our players are no good and lack quality, and on the other saying that he can't get rid of players on good long-term contracts.

    Who's going to want to pay us to take these guys off our hands, if even their current gaffer says they're not good enough? And, if we're stuck with them, what good is it slagging them off in public? That's not going to get the best out of them, surely??

    Dark days.

    That's a good article. I hope Lawrenson's right.

    If Lawrenson was right we would be playing in Europe next season.

    Apart from his predictions though, this article was refreshingly positive and I can see a ray of light somewhere in the distance.
