    Stop Press.

    News from FA Headquarters.

Because of Liverpool fans taking banned flares into the ground, yesterdays game is going to have to be replayed and Liverpool fans are banned from the game.

I might not have many in agreement, but if we do stay up I'd have Guthrie back...

Agreed, there were times last year when he outshone Cabaye performance wise (not saying he's better than Cabaye, just at times his form was better) and the moment Tiote/Cabaye returned to fitness he was dropped.

If he had been treated a bit more fairly, and had reason to be motivated maybe he would have stayed.

Don't blame him for leaving, to be fair the team was being picked based on keeping big players happy and not on form at times last year. Cracking PASSER of the ball which is probably why Pardew didn't rate him <laugh>

Come on, guys, you have a get out of jail card. A game against QPR. And my team - Norwich - will definitely not get another point this season, so you'll finish above us. At least you had a few shots on target. That's more than we ever have.

"Wigan won't get five more points."

I really hope so but I fear they will. Draw at WBA, beat Swansea and at least draw agst AV.

We need AV to struggle as well. We need Norwich, Chelsea and our good friends from the side of the Wear to beat them. It would/could/hopefully then depend upon the last game between Wigan/AV to save us.

I am expecting to be beaten by WHU - Fatsham will be desperate to stuff us - and a draw at most agst QPR. Arsenal will need 3pts to get into the CL and will slaughter us. Mathematically it is still in our hands but realistically we can only survive with the help of others. We are a spent force, will to fight and playing for the jersey, fans and keeping our place in the Prem seems to have evaporated.

So C'mon the mackems, Norwich, Chelski, anybody, who will keep us the PL!!

In think they have 5 in 15 days.

SAT 04 MAY West Bromwich Albion
    Barclays Premier League A 3.00pm
    TUE 07 MAY Swansea City
    Barclays Premier League H 7.45pm
    SAT 11 MAY Man City
    The FA Cup Final
    with Budweiser N 5.15PM
    TUE 14 MAY Arsenal
    Barclays Premier League A 7.45pm
    SUN 19 MAY Aston Villa
    Barclays Premier League H 4.00pm

That's pretty murderous for a squad like theirs at this stage of the season.

As for Guthrie, really? In his whole time here he managed one spell of decent PL football, last season when Cabaye was out. We replaced him with the far more talented Anita (who has been under used by Pardew). He is lazy, and gives the ball away for fun for all he can pick a pass. If we went down I'd take him, but if we stay up then no thanks.

Really??? How do you get that?? Gouffrans tackle on AJ was just as dangerous as McManaman's on Haidara so he's a dirtly little twat. And the "Disgusting, ****ty Team" cpomment is literally because you're Newcastle! :)

Yes,you are right I'm a week out.For a team with a thinnish squad anyway that's one hell of a schedule.Even with five points I am sure that you can get one from QPR.

Jesus wept Marcus, get a pair of geps. To quote Pulp Fiction "ain't the same ballpark, ain't the same league, ain't even the same ****in' sport". No doubt that Gouffran caught Johnson and deserved to be booked, possibly even sent off. But there was very little force and he appeared to just be trying to get his foot in between Johnson and the ball. He basically trod on his ankle. Poor challenge. Don't forget Johnson was able to continue and it didn't seem to hurt him too much. If you have played football, its one of those ones that hurts when it happens but there is no lasting damage mainly because there wasn't much force or intent.

McManaman had no designs on the ball (even if he might have clipped it) went in with excessive force with the sole intention to maim because he is a horrible little ****. I've watched him do it several times now and sooner or later he'll get one. Yes Haidara managed to turn out a couple of weeks later but it was a horror challenge.

All bias aside, your view is as absolutely comical as our defending.
