If we do stay up this season and I truly believe we will now, I just want to plead with PDC to go for some fresh blood in the summer and ignore any temptation to chase after any of the relegated players.

I'm not unhappy at all with Fletcher (quite the opposite) but I think its time for us to start and source our own players from new places and not just go down the tried and failed get in 3 or 4 relegation stained players.

New ideas Paolo and new faces to go with them.

We don't want any more players from relegated teams.....they are mainly losers who only care about money, and not the team they play for!!

There's no one from the relegated teams worth having and only Bentake, Ben Arfa and Sissoko from the other relegation candidates

    Agree with this.
Said many times before. Proved they are not good enough.
Any average player will stand out in a poor squad.

not worth his wages. take a 30k pay cut than we're talking

id take samba too if he'd take a 40k pay cut but they won't so they're not worth it imo

I don't see the problem myself. Every now and then there are one or two good players to poach from relegated teams at a respectable price. Yes, they were part of a team that went down, but give them a better team to play in and they will shine.

For instance, I don't think there would many of us turn our noses up at the opportunity to sign Remy or Samba.

He's on the treatment table more than the pitch though mate and he wouldn't come cheap either. We have enough crocks in the squad already, we don't need more.

Good player on his game mind.

I'd take Remy but not Samba. Samba has made loads of individual errors since he joined QPR plus 110k per week? I can't see him taking a pay cut, he thinks too highly of himself.

Out of the 2 currently relegated teams I'm trying to think of anyone I'd want - perhaps Remy as he looks a very good player but he certainlyu doesn't strike me as a "team player" particularly after the debacle of him flying over to speak to Newcastle and all being done and dusted and then QPR coming in with a bid and him heading south for the winter!!

None of Reading's other than their keeper look like premier league class - and we have 2 very good keepers in Mignolet and Westwood.

As for one of the remainders (and I truly think it'll be Villa or Wigan) - Only really Benteke excites me from Villa - good, big, strong centre forward. Bit to learn but he's only a young lad. I can't think of another player that would truly interest me from any of the teams down there (although I would have Sissoko from the Mags if they went down!)

I agree wholeheartedly Cest - think we should look elsewhere - build the squad by all means potentially with someone like Benteke (although we have Wickham for that impact role if he can stay fit!) but look to kick on and improve.

If we win tonight we're 11th (Said on another thread I know) - it's terrifying to think that it is that tight.

A player i did like was Albrighton at Villa. However after being affected by a lot of injuries i doubt he's the same player anymore

Take yourself down to Marsden, take at least a 50 yard run up and just go for it :)
