Very good article and well worth a read, also I think written before the 'double-whammy' of Ahmits departure!! I look forward to reading part 2.
Northolt, another great article by your man there. How strange it all seems to support a football club for years, usually through some rough times and only a few good years, then when things appear to be on the up you get kicked in the teeth. I am genuinely sorry to see what has happened, but since the money from Sky first came into the game it has become a magnet for those with or without finances to try and make a fast buck or two. As fans we are becoming more and more detached from our clubs, not from our doings, but by the way that some raise funds that they expect the people in the seats to pay back one way or another. I have no sensible suggestion as to how to stop the madness, but when you see that some clubs are run by and financed by their fans successfully you can only wish for that type of involvement. Good luck with the protests, but I suggest that you will have to unblock the owners ears before you start.
Cheers Frenchhorn, here's part 2: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=12651
Goodness me, I knew about the hike in prices, but not all of the in fighting in the boardroom. From what I have seen over the years Ecclestone usually gets his own way. Where that leaves your club is anyones guess.
Thanks for your concern Frenchie. Hope things pan out better for Watford. Wouldn't wish all this on any 'normal' club
