Redknapp has to hold his hands up and say he got his team selection and tactics wrong. Fabio should have started ahead of Boswanker and Mackie should have started ahead of Tarbs. Mackie gave 100% for the little time he was on and Tarbs looked as lazy and fat as ever.
Taarabt's finishing was terrible but overall he didn't look too bad and was twice the threat of Hoilett. I don't know what more Redknapp could have done. He's put out a reasonably attacking team that has carved out several good chances. If the players can't put them in the net then I don't blame him for that.
The passing was awful today. It doesn't matter what league you're in, you can't win games playing like that.
Tarbs was world class compared to Hoilett. Tarbs has gone downhill as the season has progressed. Totally different compared to last season.
Mackie is carrying a longterm injury, another player who cannot last the 90 minutes...the end of the season cannot come fast enough Harry wanted next seasons players....Fabio is off remember
Correction. We should have won today. Full stop. Luck has nothing to do with. The smiles and jokes all around at the end said it all. Two piss poor teams concentrating on not losing instead of going for it. let the summer sale begin. What's the excuse about Samba? Did he pull a little finger or was it something really serious. Like a headache? I know who I want to stay. Whoever the manager is has probably come to a similar list already.
Mark hughes must be the worst manager in the country, but with his purchases, and team tactics Redknapp must run him a close second
Apparently he tweeted on Friday that he was fit and looking forward to the game. Speculation on 5 Live that he is paid yet more every time he plays and we are saving money. Worst team in the League v the worst performing team in the League = what we got. Something rotten in the state of Shepherds Bush. Again.
I agree with that. Thought he put out a good team today, that apart from the finishing played quite well. The passing with Granero playing and passing better than for months, was the best in a long time. Very good play from the 2 wing backs, but the finishing was appalling.
I don't think any of the chances could be described as clear cut though mate. All either awkward or on the "wrong" foot etc. All academic now anyway I guess! Agree that Granero had a better game.
I think that tactics are lost whatever team we put out! These guys have to take responsibility for their own work ethic.
Indeed. Taarabt had a couple of great chances but made a balls of them as usual. That half-volley chance about 6 yards out in the second half should have been buried - no ifs, buts or maybes. He had a few other really good chances too but he's just not up to it. Disgracefully overweight too.
There were a few pretty clear cut ones. Think we had 14 shots in all. Most as always were from distance. We aren't getting enough people in the box still, where Bothroyd and Remy should have been more yesterday when at least more crosses were coming in from the wing backs. Bothroyd had a good chance when their Keeper screwed up and came out and too late, but he shot wide. He had another decent chance but headed a Bosingwa cross wide. Adel finished weakly from just inside the box I think he was. P*ss poor finishing.
None "clear cut" in my opinion. Adel's were all awkward and on his wrong side. Bothroyd's chip wasn't exactly an easy chance.
