The old guard were there at half time near the front. It is sad that it is all they have. How difficult is it to look moody and dress 15 years too young.I would imagine it is alot easier than properly looking after your kids and putting yourself second.
If we had won there would imo have been 2 pitch invasions and I think there are enough daft lads to cause violent disorder.
I don"t want to see any fan of any club being beaten up by a group of bullies.

After the SYP statement, why was not one Barnsley fan who encroached on the pitch arrested? And will they try and get banning orders for those that did?

The most amusing moment of the afternoon was when 75 or so of the SYPigs massed in front of the empty No Man's Terrace that they said they didn't have the resources to police <laugh>

Agreed. I found it hilarious that they could line our end; but disregard the 100 Barnsley fans until they were past the 18 yard box!
To be honest the Aluko and Dudgeon police did very well to diffuse the 10 or so city fans attempting to get in the dug out at the end of the game!

It disgusts me when fans turn on the team but if there is any positive from that incident it's that it gives the team the kick up the arse it desperately needs.

A shame Quinn wasn't so combative during the game- he went missing for long spells.

That's no goals scored in 3 games against the bottom 3 , and only 1 point.

    Not good enough.

Do the players want it badly enough?

    Barnsley's certainly did today.

Why do you hate this section of support so much Sad Cafe especially when there wasn't actually any disorder, I just saw plenty of old guard faces that have supported our club through thick and thin in all 4 divisions home and away for decades, and many of them have brought their kids up to follow City and had them with them, more real than any bandwagon jumpers. You spout flasker and scarfer snobbery, your lot don't own City!

Original.I am joking about the flask stuff you dick.I have alot of respect for fans who have followed city through the bad times.
Why would anyone be respectful to trouble causers. My experience has been they rarely do the heroic stuff suggested in their books.Racism and bullying have been more like it
Get yourself down an mma class mate and see how tough you are

Awww come on!!! How many coppers though? I totally see what some people are saying about there being some dickheads around but no way should there have been that much police presence. The helicopter at the end lol If it kicked off with all them coppers and fans they would need more than a helicopter!! At one point I swear there were more riot vans in the queues to the stadium than there was cars FFS!

That cordone! That ****in cordon! We were parked about 2 streets from there. The copper who stopped us going through actually laughed when we came out at the street 25 yards away, exactly where the cordon was placed to stop is from being............wtf! Purely there to piss the away fans off. In no way did it stop anything, we still had to go that way for the car! Leeds we walk freely around with about half the police presence, maybe not even that.

Totally OTT today and if I was a kid I'd have wondered what the **** was going on, a football match or a mass riot! It makes the KC police presence look small. One copper even laughed that he was getting paid for sat on a street corner with the threat of violence, where he was sat anyway, being virtually nil! AARRRHGGHH FFFSSS

Played **** though didnt we lol! Cant blame the coppers for that mores the pity...

To be fair to the police, they were only under orders (****ing stupid orders mind) A lot of them were pretty decent before the match and there was some good banter flying about. Chicago rocks was great, atmosphere in there was flying. Yeah there were a few lads chucking beers about but a police escort with horses? Give over. The whole police presence was OTT and quite intimidating really. To top it off we were geeted by WYP finest at Leeds station and told we weren't allowed to leave the station. They might as well of accompanied me straight to my front door. Talk about a waste of police time and money. Whoever was in charge of yesterday needs to give their head a shake

We asked a policewoman if our disabled mate could get through the cordon as we were parked on the other side, No she said, we complained to which she replied " We are only following orders" cue me and him talking loudly in Geman accents, Ze order vill be obeyed or you will be shot. well I thought it was funny, she didnt.

I was in the Chicago Rock cafe and was also part of the group of fans being escorted to the ground. The atmosphere was brilliant and all i saw was people enjoying themselves. I'd hardly say someone dressed as Elmo has the potential to cause trouble. Yes everyone was drinking, but was this not a game we could of got promoted? Singing all the way to the ground but i dont think that is a crime?

As for SYP, how laughable was the handling of the pitch invasion? Totally over the top, and i hope all them Barnsley fans receive banning orders for coming onto the pitch. Yes without any police there would probably be some trouble but how much money was wasted on the amount of policing not actually needed?

Except the result it was a great day out for fans to enjoy themselves, we are FANS NOT CRIMINALS.

I was deliberately barged into by a Barnsley moron - whse fault? surely the SYP who, by imposing upon us the necessity to walk right against the flow of Barnsley fans made our allegiance clear and thus an open invitation to the moronic fringe.

Anyhow - that was my last ever away game- I'm sick to the back teeth of being frisked, treated like a crim and generally abused by zomby police forces - which is the worst, SYP, WYP, West Midlands? They are all total enemies of the people and bankers' bully boys - they frankly disgust me.

West Midlands and Greater Manchester are probably the best.
