It seemed straightforward in the context of the original post But here, let me help you:- "Never seen any of them before but neanderthal would describe most of them. The bald guy must have been getting on for my age (early fifties) and had those big rings in his ear lobes!" Clearly the man being described is a member of the Romany community and being singled out as an undesirable.
Supporters giving the players **** at the end and in cars after game are scum of the highest order in my opinion.
any abuse to the players and there family is unacceptable... what did anger me tho yesterday was watching the game you could tell Barnsley had something to fight for, you couldnt us, dont think we won a 50-50 . can take poor displays, defeats etc, but getting outbattled in a game of such importance is hard to take..
For the first time since I've been watching City I feel like the players aren't getting the support they deserve and probably think we're a set of ****s. We need to make a proper noise next weekend and roar them on. If anyone's on twitter send something to the likes of Stockdale to let them know we're behind them. Sounds daft but it will really make a difference if they're dreading playing in front of us to if they genuinely look forward to it and can play with freedom.
I was seated in the tunnel corner and the majority of us stayed put and clapped the team off. There were 20 or 30 morons however with whom the majority around us were utterly embarrassed to be associated with. They are the ones the players will remember - not the 5,890 others, which is a real shame. If I'd been subjected to that I certainly would not be inspired to put my body on the line next week. ****ing inadequates. It is the actions of those which allow SYP and WYP/BTP to justify treating the rest of us like scum outside the ground and at Leeds station - which is in itself counter-productive and can lead to frustrations among those not usually inclined to disorder. You have to question whether that is indeed what they want in order to justify budgets in times of cuts - but it is the actions of the aforementioned scum minority that provide the opportunity for them to do this. To be fair, apart from an amount of aggressive posturing, there was little prospect of significant disorder - and in the event, most of the posturing was as a direct result of confrontational policing. It doesn't justify the actions of the few though - especially with regard to verbally abusing the players, and it only plays into the hands of the authorities when attempting to justify expenditure on horses, dogs, helicopters, and imposing draconian measures on the vast majority of law-abiders who simply went to a football match. I accept the police had to prevent a pitch invasion from City fans as that would have led to a riot. I also accept that had we won and they lost there would have been increased potential for post-match trouble around the ground, mainly from pissed off Barnsley fans. Keeping fans seperated whilst in large concentration seems prudent enough in that instance. What I really don't get is the actions of WYP at Leeds station which nearly caused a riot from a completely passive situation. One minute lads were talking about having a piss, *** and burger before they got the train back - the next they were kettled, frustrated and understandably defiant.
A number of people have tweeted Stockdale and others telling them not to take any notice of these morons. He has acknowledged that many fans have sent their support by twitter. At the end of the day maybe this will have a reverse psychology and gee them up so it doesn't happen again.
6000 people went to Barnsley yesterday and you're worried that the team don't feel they got the support they deserved? Are you ****ing mental? They got more support than they deserved.
This is spot on. The performance was pathetic, fans had every right to be angry. There is no need for abusing players and especially their missus' at all though. Though I think people need to grasp that sometimes 'support' can come in the form of a few 'home truths' and a kick up the backside - I hope that is what Bruce does and tells it like it is. There were far too many primadonnas out there yesterday that only like to perform when the going is good - now it's time for hard-work and the nitty gritty, they don't look interested in putting in a shift.
The true fans around me after the game clapped the players off and were shouting for them to get their heads up, the rest of the fans can **** off.
****ing moron...................... Thomas Mallon ‏@postie1anlub @stockogk1313 how many clean sheets have you kept? You are horrible.. Steve Bruce plz drop this #taibi Retweeted by David Stockdale
He's not very good at descriptive language is he ? "You are horrible" has to be the most sterile and unimaginative abuse I've seen on twitter
But we sat in silence for 86 minutes of the game and people allegedly had a go at the players as they left the pitch. In fact this is your thread about **** support so surely we agree.
Twitter trolls just simply that. Thankfully most ignore such crap. David Stockdale thanked the genuine fans for the support. This whole thing deserves a Gary Neville moment..........
You should have seen the pictures from Wolverhampton. Roger Johnson and some others were attacked after the game by so called upset Wolves fans. What a mess Wolves are in. same for DQPR NEXT SEASON ME THINKS.
This is my thread about idiots abusing players, I don't call the biggest travelling support in the entire league '**** support'. The players fell short on Saturday, not the fans, had they not done so, there would have been plenty of noise.
I thought Citys singing was okay on Saturday despite the team being overun in midfield by Albino boy and co. I thought the refereeing was dire and too many free-kicks given to Barnsley. I thought their were too many police/stewards but maybe they knew something about potential trouble. Anyway, lets give the lads a rousing last match (hopefully) sendoff. COYH
