just wondering how people would expect us to do in the Championship next season? Some massive clubs in there Wigan/Villa/Newcastle, QPR, Reading... all the under performing clubs this season.. I reckon it could be really tough, and mid table would still be a massive achievement, barring in mind we will prob lose some players Chester, Hobbs, Koren, Boyd, Gedo..?? and the Allams said we wont have any money next season, he cant put anymore money in the pot a worrying thought it really is...worst case, we could be another Wolves sorry its a negative post, but we could be facing this
If the Hull players and Manger have that sort of attitude as they prepare for the weekend then you do deserve **** all out of this season......
like said its not a negative post, I love the Championship, and would quite happily stay in it, its far more entertaining than the Premier League, and you get more games for your money
It's a "non-sequitor".. you state it's "not a negative post" but then write in such a way.. it's like someone whio starts with "I'm not a racist but.." you know the rest.. Do NOT THINK about next season, our season is still on and we can be PROMOTED.
By the way see your in Lyon, loved Stade de Gerland when I was there last season, nice ground, Lyon was playing Lille at the time
To be fair to the guy who started the post people on the other threads are already saying the players should be pumped to the max and going up should be a doddle, fitness and mentality dont even come into it, so really if we don't do it then it begs the question (which he shouldn't have asked) what next which probably won't be good. I think we are going up anyway despite all the bullshit flying around.
The OP says we'll lose Boyd, was it just me who heard Mr Burns several times referring to him as former Peterborough player (was that a mistake on his part, or have we signed him unofficially as of yet, not officially). If QPR do come down they will in my personal opinion struggle as can we really see players like Samba (on very silly wages) being motivated for a wednesday night game against Doncaster on a cold January day. If we do stay in this division the majority of fans will be expecting a top 6 finish again and it will depend on managerial movements and whether teams with rich owners strengthen what they had this season, so realistically I would expect a top 8 finish next season if we are in the Championship
I think QPR will keep an expensive team, arry will stay and they'll probably invest in one or two more players and piss the league. The rest will be wide open, but depending on readings financial power, they could well be a good shout for 2nd with whatshisface at the helm. Won't be as cut and dry as that though.
If we dont go up i will be a little upset at a opportunity missed. But life goes on and so do the tigers so i will be there next season giving my all to the club UTT
Hey, I'm all for optimism but whilst I can just about see us overcoming a team who have nothing much to play for in one game at home, I'm really struggling to see us overcoming an in form team over two legs, home and away and another in the final, with the kind of form we're in! Having said that, if that ends up being what we have to do I'll give them my full support as always.
Before Watford won 4-0 v Blackburn (i think) they were wondering where their next win would come from.. who's to say that won't happen to us next game?
I think a "but ..." statement can work though , "I'm not a racist but.. ... it is considered racist to hear in London of another teenager stabbing and assume that the perpetrators are black . "
