Should have been at the game, you'd never recover from it.

I too have backed Pardew up until this point, but like Seabass this where it ends for me.

I agree with a lot of the comments already made, about Pardew having lost the dressing room, and that there is something going on behind the scenes.

And like GLitF, I am not sure how we ended up here, after last season's success. I think there was an acknowledgement that we perhaps overachieved last season, but how much further down the spectrum can we be?

This feels like the longest season ever and I just want it to be over. We are relying on other teams being worse than us now and that is not a good place to be in.

Are there any odds floating around for him to be sacked?

Haven't read all 5 pages of the thread, but for me he has to go now.

Anyone pleading the case of stability is out of their mind, I've wanted Pardew gone for a good few months now and I hear a lot of people saying "we need stability" or "who out there is better than Pardew that would come to us?".

Well right now there is no stability, results and the security of the money we get from being in the premiership help create stability, sticking by a manager who has lot the plot doesn't.

As for who out there is any better, I ask who out there could do any worse???

It was clear as day that the players are no longer playing for Pardew yesterday, meaning anyone we appoint would immediately have a huge advantage and would make some kind of impact. Rumours have it that he had a big bust up with Cisse midweek (not sure if true) and the players feel Pardew was in the wrong and not Cisse.

For three games I'd give the reigns to Beardsley, he knows the club, you know he'll play the game in the "right way" and you'd like to think he'd be brave enough to give Hatem, Cabaye, Marveaux & Cisse not only the confidence to play but the freedom. We're so rigid and one dimensional under Pardew.

Beardsley and the club would both have nothing to lose, we simply can't get any worse. And for those that want stability, that firstly starts by maintaining our Premiership status rather than retaining Pardew.

I got told that Wigan wouldn't pick up more than 4 points by a few of the "Pardew in" brigade, well they already have one of those points in possibly their hardest fixture. Never thought I'd say this but me, and every other Newcastle supporter should all be praying for a Sunderland win on Monday night.

Not one single player knew what their role was in the line up yesterday, after a full week of training and preparation that Pardew constantly craves. We were promised a reaction from the players after the Sunderland game, if that reaction was a half decent 45 minutes against West Brom followed by yesterday's debacle then Pardew really is out of his depth, out of excuses and most of all he's out of time.

On a final note for the people that want him to remain in charge based on last season's results...5th place last year doesn't save you from relegation year this year. It counts for squat! Should we go down it won't be like last time where the nucleus of the team will stay, the team will be ripped to shreds and I'd seriously doubt us returning at the first attempt.

Pardew should go at the end of the season.
We have been dreadful all season. There has been little to cheer about this season. Yes we enjoyed Europe but in all honesty do we really want to be watching Championship football again.

I was one of the 'stability' brigade that wanted him to be given another year. After yesterday I can't see that happening and think it would hurt the club trying. He needs to go at the end of the season and Ashley and Llambias need to be looking (already) for the right person to take us forward. I don't think there is anyway back for Pardew now.

I think we'll stay up because of how bad villa and wigan are. I see us getting at least one more point and I am hoping that's enough. Hopefully we have the nucleus of a good squad to start next season. But whoever comes in, one of the first jobs to do is kick these guy's arses. it's not just Pardew who has let us down by a long way!
