We have good players who showed what they are capable of when they first came (Sissoko, Gouffran et al) but then they started doing things the way Pardew wanted and they have started playing in that way Newcastle always seem to revert to (see Souness' last game as manager, Roeder's last three games as manager, all of Allardyce's games in charge, Gullit's last 10 games and Dalglish's last 30 games) and seems to be our natural level. We have players, who given the right motivation and tactical instructions should be top 6 so it's not like our last rudderless relegation season. Pardew has looked tired all season, like he knows the job is well beyond him and he's having to work 25 hour days just to try and keep up. It's beaten him. He struggled at Charlton ffs. He's spent most of the season using the phrase 'trust me' as in 'Benfica are a good team, trust me'. Well Alan, I don't trust you, I never have. I don't know who I want in charge but surely there's someone who knows how to change a game when it's clear it needs to be changed.

 

I can't believe Boa hasn't shown up on this thread yet. He must have ****ed himself into a coma watching that performance tonight!

Look on the bright side, at least Newcastle had a shot on target! My team Norwich didn't even shoot AT the bloody goal , our manager is definitely worse than yours. He has the tactical awareness of a gnat! At least you have a striker who has scored more than 4 PL goals this season, honestly it's pathetic in our case how poor out strikers have been!

Here's to hoping for both of us that Villa and Wigan continue their failings and clash on the final day of the season to decide which of their miserable clubs goes down. If you guys get relegated, with the squad and quality players that you have, Pardew should be lynched.
