We have been on a dire run and still are only 1 win away from the Premier League. There's some perspective for you.
So instead of moaning and whining we could get behind the team and hope they sort this out. Specially since this is what we have wanted since day 1.
We have nothing to lose now..everything else has been and gone.. Our play off final at the kc on saturday.. Just get behind the team **** the negativity until its confirmed we aint going up automatic.. Come on.. Weve had a long season, dont throw in the towel now both fans and players.. We can ****ing do it.. There honestly is no point in negativity now

Respect your elders. You're a bit out of order there. The guy is stating a fact that we have played crap in our last 3 games, against 3 of the lowest teams in the league. You cannot really argue against that statement. And he said he defends Hull against the reputation that precedes it (whether the reputation is correct or not anymore is irrelevant, that wasn't the point he was making). It doesn't warrant calling a pensioner a **** because he is frustrated by the way we've thrown away a 7 point lead in the manner in which we've done it, and against teams which we should really have beaten.
I give respect when it’s due – whatever the age or background of the person. I’m extremely frustrated with what has happened too and I can understand and empathise with fellow supporters who feel that way. But starting a thread called “Dull ****ty” needs nipping in the bud. We’re supposed to respect people for the example they set, not just because they’ve existed on this planet for 60 odd years. To me, the example Stan has set (in this case) is an awful one. When I was a child, we respected pensioners because they’d largely had it tough. Been through the war, worked themselves to death, existed in penury and largely didn’t complain. The new pensioners (the baby boomers) have had it much easier (in general) than my and forthcoming generations will have it. Also, what does saying that you ‘always defend Hull’ and then spouting a load of stereotypes/misinformation that out of towners say about the city actually say about Stan? This is a football message board and your currency here is the words you write (type). In my opinion, Stan should be ashamed of this thread and accordingly I offer him no respect in this context.
Leon - you really need to go back to my OP; follow the thread and see how it came to pass that I brought the city itself into the discussion; take on board what other posters have written....I've not dissed anyone (except Perky - and he doesn't count). I started this thread because, as a result of watching the game (on screen) and taking into consideration some of our previously poor results........ .....I was pissed off!
I understand that you are pissed off Stan – I am too – but why start a thread as graceless and self loathing as one entitled ‘Dull ****ty’? I think the original point you made isn’t valid anyway. As other posters have pointed out, this isn’t the team that would be competing in that division. Our goal is to reach that division and not to worry about what the likes of Lawro will make of us next year. I seem to recall when we went up last time, Stoke et al. dithering and not looking up for it which nearly allowed us to sneak second place. Now, Stoke are an established Premier League side. I don’t mean to patronise you, but surely you knew that anyway? You’re clearly not an idiot and can obviously write (although for a pensioner you do use a few phrases and idioms associated with yoof) so I don’t understand (bearing in mind your frustration) why you’d start such a badly considered and obnoxious thread.

No matter how disappointing some recent performances have been, it makes no sense to go into the Cardiff game expecting (and in some cases almost willing) a defeat with morose, ingrained negativity. One game, one last chance, and one win to go up. It couldn't be simpler, and we all have to plough our will into that. Otherwise why bother?!!! It would make no sense to turn up to the KC with a defeatist attitude on Saturday now, as it serves no one any good. We've come too far.
Maybe today is the wake up call the team and manager needs, a lot of fans paid good money to support them and the team failed to turn up. Why does Bruce not see thst Elmo is knackered and replace him with Fathi, Matty should come on as an impact sub etc etc.
Stop our two wing backs and we hardly create anything. What are we going to do about it because at the moment it isn't working
Stan.I like your posts by and large.Wind up is good on a forum .BUT the illness card?I am a complete psychotic but never use it as any kind of defence /justification on a forum.Get a grip you whining fanny
I think Flitcroft is the latest manager to suss out our tactics and that we have no plan B. Barnsley played a high line and Fryatt in particular was never going to bomb on over the top. With Elmo and Brady shackled, we had no threat in central midfield. Doesn't in any way excuse or explain the lack of commitment and energy though.
Some perspective here....just been diagnosed as having developed A) rheumatoid arthritis, or B) something ****ing weird. It's currently on my mind. A lot. Sorry about that, but I'm a tad fooked at the mo.....
I'd just like the point out that I first saw the words 'DULL ****TY' sprayed in a doorway opposite the entrance to Manchester Victoria station sometime in the early 80s. Thank you.
I'm pretty dejected, but still mildly hopeful for next week. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I think perhaps we should have changed formation/style in the last 3 games. Other teams now know how we play, and those down there scrapping really put in serious effort to stop us playing. Wolves, Bristol and Barnsley all knew how we played, worked really hard and outdid us. Maybe if we went 442 in a game, it might have thrown the opposition, and allowed our superior talent to prevail. Saying that, i'm not sure switching for the final game is worth it now. Cardiff probably aren't going to be particularly dead-eye focused on us, and work really hard to stop us playing, more have a go themselves and go out on a bang. So, maybe we should just stick with what is familiar.
