I think this is where I and many other fans are pissed off. Had we lost today but played brilliantly, or at least with an ounce of passion, (and the same can be said with last week's shambles of a performance too), then I don't think there would be as many pissed off fans. What is awful to stomach is not so much the results, but the performances. These players look like they couldn't give a **** now about playing. Most of them know if we get promoted they'll be booted out of the club, but I don't buy into the theory that they are purposely bottling it for that reason. Its obvious we've ran out of steam and ideas. These players have punched far above their weight throughout this season, and got us in a remarkable position that no one could really have predicted last year, but now they've reached their limits. Knackered, and it shows. Its just frustrating to see a 7 point lead being pissed away so easily, and with the easiest run in compared to all other sides fighting promotion, and with recent performances that suggest this team doesn't even belong in this league, never mind the Premiership. I hope we somehow manage to turn this around next week, but I thought we would last week and today, and been proved spectacularly wrong both times. Next week I'll be amazed if we manage to claw back victory from the brink of defeat.
FFS I wish I had your blinkered outlook Scarbs, we can't even beat the worst 3 teams in the league and 1 of them was already relegated.
No, but we could have been in the same position as Cardiff a couple of weeks ago. As it stands now, we are still in a great position on paper, but looking at our performances, something bad has happened to the team. Watford have come out fighting, and shown they are worthy to go up, whereas we look like we should be heading straight for relegation.
I agree, just don't understand whats gone wrong. Still i expected us to finish mid table at the start of the season, but yer disappointing.
Can anyone really feel disappointed about being a win away from being promoted? At the beginning we would've loved to be in the play-offs now we are 90 minutes and a win away from going up. Perspective is needed. Come on City!
Who or whatever youâre referring to â youâre a ****. âDull ****tyâ â used to hear that most often from people from Hull who supported top division sides. Clearly you have no backbone, fortitude or grace. People whine and moan and I accept weâve been **** over the last three games â in whatâs been a great season. Even if we were in the bottom league facing the drop to the Conference Iâd still be a million miles from starting a thread called Dull ****ty. Not surprised to read people on here defending it though either.
I agree totally. Given this opportunity at the beginning of the season, we'd have all taken it. It's just the manner in which its happened. This is a very different playing side now to what we saw earlier this season, and light years away from the side that got promoted under Brownie. Back then, the last few games were unbelievable - more like how Watford played last night. It was a roller-coaster ride and the fans had real belief that we would do it, even when we got to Wembley. Whatever has happened to the team in the past few weeks is heart-breaking and depressing to watch. Getting so far, doing so well, then suddenly, out of the blue, going all to pieces, and having to stomach watching Watford climb back game after game. On current form I cannot see us beating Cardiff, and certainly not winning at Wembley. Can you imagine starting next season in the Championship again, and watching Watford playing in the Premiership. It doesn't bear thinking about. Come on Brucie. Sort those players out FFS, and quickly. Something drastic has to change in that team before next weekend.
I always defend Hull. There's the 'Crap Towns' book. Patently untrue. There are the statistics - Most violent place in the UK, per head of the population; most unmarried teenage mothers; worst school performance; biggest smack problem; **** housing. But I still love Hull - love visiting, even though I no longer live there. Almost all my memories are there. And, so what is your problem with what I posted? We've ****ed up against 3 very lowly teams. Or do you disagree, in the face of FACT?
I saw that, and sone aluko was trying to calm them down! Ahh dear, its all a bit too much. Disgrace of a performance but roll on next week! Still a point ahead lads!
I think it makes it even worse that you’re a pensioner and supposedly mature. I recall a youngster of about 12 on here starting a thread berating City after we lost to Forest. Then he had actually had strength and maturity to start a new thread apologising for his hastiness the next day. Clearly, that 12 year old has more gumption and rationale than you. The ‘facts’ about Hull you state are largely inaccurate and out of date by the way; and also mainly rely upon Hull’s tight boundaries. Do a bit of research next time. But why mention them in the first place in a thread about football? Again, speaks volumes of the person you are. My problem is that you’ve started a thread called Dull ****ty and you seem proud of that FACT*. * writing FACT in capital letters is also pretty ****ish by the way.
