Hopefully Man City get a couple more in the second half to dent West Hams GD a bit. Could well come down to GD separating us at the end of the season. As things stand they have -8 and we have -7.
Indeed. Routine win, but Man City shouldn't have allowed WHU any room at all to feel pleased with themselves.
I really wish I was able to watch Barnsley v Hull and Brentford v Doncaster, but they were inconsiderate enough to play at the same time as Saints.
Sounds like Brentford v Doncaster was pretty incredible. Brentford win a penalty in the 93rd minute that will take them up. Trotta misses. Then Coppinger scores for Doncaster in the 95th to win them promotion and the league title. Amazing. Brentford fans must be feeling suicidal right now.
Get this, my housemate is a chef at Brentford and had they been promoted today he would've finished for the season, and allowed to take on a new catering job on a much higher salary with immediate effect. But now he had to work for the next three weeks as they're in the play-offs, and can't take his new job for another couple of weeks after that. So from that one penalty miss, he's been robbed of the £1500 pounds he would've earned from the new job, seen his adopted second side probably denied promotion, and to cap it all he's a Wolves fan, and they've just been relegated. Worst ****ing day ever!
If Peterborough beat Wednesday, Wolves will be on the verge of relegation...they'd be three points plus a significant chunk of goal differential from safety going into the final day.
I would wonder if they would actually care. Although it is worth some pride I would imagine they are just happy to be promoted.
If Newcastle and Sunderland both win, we will go down to 15th on Monday. I'd still take that, because Villa winning would not be good.
