****. Nearly knicked an undeserved winner at the end so much wrong with that performance though, I don't even know where to start with it. If Arsenal and/or Chelsea drop points tomorrow we can feel like it's a point gained but that was a ****ing awful second half, Wigan pressed us well and we fell to pieces.
General consensus seems to be that we were bloody lucky to get one point. So, I suppose we should be happy with that. What annoys me is that you didn't need to be Sherlock ****ing Holmes to work out that Wigan were going to be really up for this, fighting for their lives, etc. Yet still we seem to be unprepared for the fight.
If anything good comes out of that it might be that the equaliser is the goal that sends them down. It would be good to see the back of Wigan. We've always struggled against them since the 9-1. It would be nice to see them gone, they deserve to go down far more than Villa.
Ludicrous comment from a Chelski fan! And lets not forget the opposition could/should have had a player sent off against us for the second match running. Who says refs don't decide the league?
Poor performance but managed a point somehow. Three players I wanted to comment on: Naughton; what's the point in playing him out of position, just start with BAE and let KN compete with KW for RB Huddlestone; one top performance in ten usually - back to normal today i.e average Parker; past his best and don't try to shoot because you never ****ing score Upfront lacking for obvious reasons, one ****ing striker. We look would look much stronger with the likes of Kaboul match fit and Dembele on form and our biggest miss of course being Sandro. Our overall struggle stems from our striker situation which is ridiculous. And Ade. **** off.
Deedub I think your talking out of your arse fella. Considering there resources and what little they have to work with Wigan like Fulham are a credit to the Premiership.
Don't talk crap, and that has nothing to do with luck, just the same rubbish you always come out with.
How do you fathom that? Wigan, on a shoestring budget play brilliant football (on a rugby pitch) and are in the FA cup final? Villa (MON 2-3 years aside) are ****e. year on year, they play dour, ****e football. I have alot of respect for wigan, and what they are trying to achieve with such a small fan base too. I would love to see Villa relegated. (it would make us part of an even more exclusive club of Prem ever presents too)
only thing i can say is last year we'd have walked away from this with no points. whether that's wigan not quite producing what they did last year or us not being quite as fragile i have no clue. but either way, shocking performance with a point and as long as man u and swansea do us a favour we've still got it all in our hands. defoe when he drops deep needs to pass forward. He had a great opportunity with 3 mins to go and just didn't do anything incisive. Same could be said for dempsey every time he was on the ball
This isn't even true anymore. Out of our hands now, we need Arsenal and Chelsea to drop points. Beating Chelsea doesn't even help us anymore. If there is a god United will beat or at least get a point at Arsenal tomorrow, then we might just sneak it, though not on the standard of this performance.
Not ludicrous at all. So you are all saying it was skill that won you that game today. Not according to most of your posts during that game.
When you say "you", is that a slight generalization, as I've never seen you on here before? What part of being taken over when broke, by someone who ploughs millions into you and artificially buys the best English talent in the league, and brings in the best young manager isn't lucky? What part of being the most undeserving team to win the CL isn't lucky? This is my opinion, and many think the same. Deal with it.
Once we start this slow deliberate build up it's never a positive result. Sideways and backwards as if we were frightened to take them on. Very frustrating, the point of having quality players is lost if all you do is play negative passes where the sole object appears to be to hold the ball. If you don't get it in their box you won't score simple!
Agreed. They only have two quality players, IMO. Benteke & Weimann. The rest are just average, or blow too hot and cold.
Haha, all that stress fried my brains! It's probably 8, too and we need to match their winning margins. What's all the fuss about, we've practically got 9 toes in the CL
It's getting to a point where, this season on match days,we ought to spend a few hours in a rest home. Spurs, are you are going to be the death of us?.....and what team is going to turn up for the next game??????
