Not a thread of creativity: I hope we grind our way to safety but I care less and less as a result of watching such ****e football:

I'm on here regardless Beef, I think everyone on here is aware of that, I've been banging the same drum even during the winning periods.

I'm almost certain Hughton was just hoping we could just sneak a draw today and in the next two games to just get us over the line. Playing for draws is always dangerous and it has cost us far too many times away from home this season.

When will you please learn than just because someone is a realist, it doesn't make them depressive. Or even negative. How the **** can you defend that clueless bunch of garbage we all just sat and watched. Easy..... you can't!

Yeah because you are desperate to be proved right. All the while not supporting the team. You predict doom, hide when we are good then re-emerge when we fall over. Weird.

Un lucky today guys both teams were **** and there were a few dodgey tackles goin in that on another day might have seen a red. Thought ref was a bit weak to be honest. As a stoke fan I think we deserved the win (only just) as I cant remember your guys testing are keeper.
Anyway good luck for the rest of the season glad spurs managed restrict Wigan to a point hope nxt seasons match against the 2sides is bit better than todays game was

I'm sat at home looking at the table and compared to other teams around us the -20 goal difference stands out like a carbuncle of failure. A massive indictment of not being able to play for safe draws very well! We may as well field an entire team of centre backs!

Hughton lost me today. No fence sitting or give him time. Just not good enough. Not even close. Regardless of which league we're in next season, I'm happy to wave goodbye.

I still maintain he needs more time to get "his" players but my expectations are going to be quite high in August, he is on borrowed time for me.

Yes, he has been an utter disappointment. Actually, I feel angry that he took the job clearly having no faith whatsoever in the players he inherited. Well, Chris, you dragged them down to your level. Well done. You have proved yourself right - they aren't Premiership standard. Oh, except for the fact that they managed to get 47 points last year and come twelfth.

Come on beef, we all support the team, just think the manager might not be the man to lead us forward
We love your positivity, well most of us

A half decent manager should be able to get the best from the players he inherits at a new club. Since the 3 - 4 Man City game over new year, he's taken us backwards rather than forwards. More goalless draws, and now more and more games without so much as a meaningful attempts at goal <yikes>

How did he do so well at Birmingham with a patched up squad due, partly, to their transfer embargo? Where have those man-management skills gone? <doh>

Hughton has completely lost the plot as he just said in his interview, "We were in good form" :steam:<monster><cracker>

I don't know, Cromer. He's blown his chance, though. Whatever happens to our club, I think he is history.

    GOALLLLLLLL! 1-0 to the Scousers

Probably the only time, I will ever celebrate them scoring, but let's hope it is a tidal wave today! 4-0 will equal our GD for Toon

I understand what you are getting at but to counter argue that let's just look at the forwards, disregard the midfield for now. The front line has been lightweight all season.

Holt - Brilliant debut season in the PL but is knocking on a bit, even looks considerably slower than even last season.
Jackson - Never features so hard to say much about him
Becchio - Same as Jackson and the biggest puzzler for me this season - why did we sign him?
Moro - Something went wrong after PL left and subsequently went to Leeds

and that is it! Regardless of who the manager is, I do not see how they could get enough out of any of them to score enough goals to win enough games. A lot has been made of the lack of service from the midfield and up to a point that is a reasonable deduction but with players in front of them with too little to offer they also have a thankless task.

Where I do point the finger at CH is the Becchio scenario. We could all see we needed goals and were quite happy when a free scoring striker came in to replace Moro but..................?? I really cannot get my head round this and want to know why CH never starts him.
