Hull board actually ran a Leicester v Watford match thread. Lots of them think the game is up for them. They are still in a better position than us, although if they lose tomorrow I believe the situation will be reversed.
Just got back after a great afternoon and night at the football - we played some great football at times and even with the pressure they put on us they never looked very dangerous and resulted in hoofing it up in the end. Only downer was I went for a pee just before half time to beat the queue and missed the first goal and then thought it was not worth going back so I got got in the queue for a beer and missed the second! - funniest thing was watching about 6 Watford fans dancing about in front of the telly after the second went in. They looked like a group of Morris Dancers on Crack! This season ha just got to be the best....
good grief, we do go through the gamut of emotions when watching our Golden Boys, don't we! Excitement, joy, pleasure, nervousness, frustration, stress... Some fairly poor passing at times but some incredible performances again. Deeney and Ekstrand in particular i thought. And good god..what a blinkin' strike that was!!! Just watched it on the telly...blinkin' heck! Incredible! Right, nothing we can do now...we just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. I can't see Hull throwing it, but we can live in hope...
good win guys and gals, second was a screamer but thought you were going to throw it away , glad you didn't
you must have been pissing for a second time, they were all over you in a period of the second half but well done
Just watching that goal again, to check that my one overriding memory from last night wasn't a dream. Bullets have left guns slower.
It was an amazing goal that I missed live because I was typing on this thread about Deeney's goal, if only he could have waited a momernt longer, I would have been back! Having said that, I feel sorry for those who attended the match, to just see it in real time missed the beauty of viewing it from every angle on TV!
Morning all - beautiful sunny day day up here, if a little on the cool side. But after last night, who cares about such mundane things as the weather? Thought I'd read a few match reports on line to glorify further in THAT goal - but have come away confused by various reporters' take on Troy's opening goal. The various terms they use to describe it include '...poked home...', '...scrambled home... ', '...prodded home...' and '...tapped in...'. Were they watching the same match as us?
I am afraid I stopped trying to type anything while the match was on with the site problems, so did see the goals. There are so many ifs and buts in football. Some days that shot would have finished up in the back row of the stand, last night thankfully it didn't. Also their keeper made a great stop before half time. If that had gone in it might have finished them off. I noticed that FF who might have sulked at not getting a game was the one to nip in and pinch the MOM bottle. He just seemed to be very happy that the team won again.
