With Guy deservedly getting the reins he has controlled very well in hard going who next should we look to secure. For me and others I expect it is key it's within a sensible affordable budget - players like those who finished the season and gave 100% effort will be welcomed...a squad of circa 26 players max will keep things tight knit...something which has been so evident since Feb. Here's to the new dawn.
"I'm proud and privileged to be leading the club on the field" Will Guy be dusting off his boots then
I think you can forget 26 Eastney. With our financial strictures and lack of reserve team I think 21 or 22 is the absolute maximum required or likely. My thoughts on squad size and the number or subs are well documented on here in the past.
It looks like Connolly and Agyemang will both be here next season. Securing these guys will be key to us make progress next year. Keeping a cool head LF ?
Bit of a headache this morning FD. Had a night on the tiles last night - ate too much, drank too much but managed to stay clear of 'professional' women who seemed to be hunting in packs! Sat at airport on way home. have a good weekend in Shropshire.
Sounds like a good night out LF....and squad size you are probably right - a part of me thinks less is more and the mentality is more tight knit if it isn't too big. Right now I'm mostly just glowing about the fact we are still alive and kicking and a new dawn begins. Feels good to be a Portsmouth fan again.
