For those who don't remember the great man --- www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-22281098.

The word legend is sometimes overused, and consequently devalued, but Harry Griffiths was a true legend of Swansea Town/City,and once seen, never forgotten.

He was one of my all time favourites.

Last time I saw Harry was at the Dingle where Ivor was playing in a friendly against Morriston. I was one of a group of players waiting our turn to go on and Harry was with us chatting away. He gave Ivor some fearsome stick with a broad grin on his face the whole time.

Ivor, as usual, managed to produce a piece of magic and Harry turned to me laughing his head off and said something along the lines of, "D'you see that? Old Golden Balls can still turn it on when he wants to". Harry was a great guy with a wicked sense of humour and one of the greatest servants the club ever had. One of my earliest memories was of Harry (8) playing in a forward line with Ivor (10), Len (7), Terry Medwin (9) and Cliffy Jones (11). What price that lot today? And Harry finished his career playing number 3 at left back. Great character!!

I think we have shared memories of Harry,Ivor. He was a winger initially, but couldn't get in the team in that position, since Len and Cliff were first choices. Medwin had the same problem, which is why he played centre forward. There was an abundance of wingers at the time. Eventually,Cliff and Medwin became The Spurs' wingers.
Harry was extremely versatile, playing anywhere in the forward line, and eventually full back. He won a Welsh cap as a winger.
None of this is news to you,Ivor, but we both share a love of the great Harry Griffiths.
