What shall I have for dinner. Where do I go on holiday next. Do I buy myself a new suit. What time do I need to set the alarm for tomorrow. Must remember stern game face tomorrow.
1. sign the best possible centreback 2. bring in the best possible winger 3. facilitate any of pochettino's transfer recommendations 4. Continue with plans for a better stadium 5. Ensure staplewood's development is on track
That's a naive view; the chairman is running a business in the Premier league which is a global marketplace and I am pretty sure that although you don't care about Asia, he does. Overseas fans means money (from kit sales and demand for TV coverage). You do indeed support a football club, but that club is also a corporate brand; if you want the club to enjoy continuing sucess then you need to accept the corporate side. Embrace it like a cuddly kitten, it will do your pressure some good as well as you seem a bit tense
And let's not forget that what's good for Southampton Football Club is good for the city as a whole. If we get lots of overseas tourists coming to see the Saints, staying in hotels and spending their money in the shops and bars, that's more jobs for the city, which can only be a good thing given the parlous state of the economy at present.
Whilst a player's origin is not the major thing, it doesn't hurt to have a Japanese player in the team. ManU are a global brand because they are successful firstly, but they have also made an effort to spread the word. Not comparing us to ManU (sorry, Nicola), but revenue from abroad is a source to tap if we want the big time.
I shall revised my list... 1. Get Saints relegated a couple of leagues 2. In return all the fans who LOVE the corporate journey will **** off again 3. That'll do.
The fans who "love the corporate joureny" (whatever that is or means) are the same fans who, just like you, have been supporting the club for many years, happy that we are back in the top flight and have some good prospects of statying there. They are as equally authentic as you; try beta blockers you're all up tight nipper....
Top of my list is remember the PL goes into May, so book my holiday in June and not be out of the country for last 2 games of season.
Apart from not annoying CBK what are the five things at the top of the list, not to do? 1. Tell anybody, anything they don't need to know. 2. Forget Markus Liebherrs dream. 3. Sell players at less than they worth. 4. Sell players to a Team where they can do us damage. 5. Buy shares in PFT. (I think the rules say you can't be involved in two Clubs even if you know you want to help out)
True, I remember many of them quite well now. They looked like this a few seasons ago... please log in to view this image But I'm sure they are all lovely lovely people
If all these things offend you so much, perhaps you'd be better off supporting Eastleigh or another team. Please.
