Don't know how true this is but I actually believe it as something as been wrong with him since January and I know he was gone next season anyway! -
I also heard a rumour he may be linked with the Cardiff job too as he as kept us up for 5 seasons!!

Hat's all folks! Tony Pulis poised to leave Stoke the minute they are safe from relegation

Manager who's landed in the fans' dog-house was set to go at the end of the season anyway, but Saturday clash with Norwich could be his last

Tony Pulis is plotting his exit strategy from Stoke.

Pulis is set to leave the Potters at the end of the season anyway - but his departure could be announced as soon as they clinch mathematical Premier League safety.

Under-pressure Pulis has been considering his future following a disastrous second half to the current campaign - Saturday's win at QPR was only the Potters' second of 2013.

Although he retains a very close relationship with the club’s chairman Peter Coates and retains his respect, restructuring elsewhere at the Britannia Stadium has left the 55-year-old Welshman believing his seven-year reign is nearing an end.

Pulis has kept Stoke in the Premier League since promotion in May 2008 and if - as expected - he goes, then they want it handled in the right way as a mark of respect for his services.

We revealed on March 11 that the manager was fighting to save his job because the fans had grown fed-up - even displaying 'Pulis Out' banners - and his record in the transfer market has come under fierce scrutiny.

Pulis was left frustrated in January that the club did not back him with moves for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent and Tom Ince, which he claimed were lined up if they first off-loaded England front-man Peter Crouch.

But big-money transfers of the recent past - such as the signing of Charlie Adam from Liverpool - have not worked out well, and most of his deals have left the club with players who have little sell-on value and a large wage bill.

Stoke have spent big on their academy to 'grow their own' and it is clear they are preparing to move in a different direction, which seems certain to spell the end of Pulis' second spell in charge.

There have been clashes with players too, and the manager’s biggest wish now is for survival.

Their home game with Norwich on Saturday could provide that - and also bring his reign to a close.

Stoke are likely to look to a manager who plays more expansive football than has been on offer under the Welshman.

Gus Poyet of Championship promotion chasers Brighton is on their hit-list, European Cup-winning former Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo could be another target and they have been linked with Arsenal coach and former Stoke player Steve Bould.

    Bloody hell Waddo
So fingers/toes everything crossed for a decent result this weekend then? Didn't realise he would be gone that quick and unless I'm wrong. Should result go there different ways this weekend. 40pts is NOT maths safe or is it? Either way I had an interesting e-mail from Cris aka Tenterdenpotter earlier. I'm SURE he would not mind IF you wanted to read what he told me Waddo? Just pm you contact address and I'll send it on mate.

It DOES tie in with what you have posted above... <whistle> For the record Waddo there is (no way) Cris would have seen the above he can't log in. NOT YET anyway.

Weird it's John Cross. He's an extremely London (specifically Arsenal) biased journalist. Expect Pulis to respond in his Thursday presser. I am sceptical about this as a win against Norwich doesn't guarantee safety, but it makes it the more likely, especially if Wigan fail to beat Spurs.

When you wish upon a star, or in this case a (Daily) Mirror.

He should be treated in the same fashion as he treats us the fans - with contempt.

    As I said guys
It's OUR result that matters NOT Wigans or anyone else. It's to early to call, just like we're thinking Pulis will actually go!

If he could have evolved he would have done so already, any number of managers could get us playing much better football than Pulis.
