The Club has hinted that they would like the Players to be able to do an unhindered lap of honour to thank the fans, it hasn't been possible because of the pitch invasions, it would be nice for once for a bit of mutual congratulation without the obligatory incursions, just a thought.
I think it rather depends on intent, if it is malicious to prevent a negative outcome it would be frowned upon and punished. Just to show relief and celebration is hardly a punishable offence, but you can never tell what goes on in the minds of the League hierarchy!
There's no doubt pitch invasions are fun and a good way of celebrating our success this season.... But it feels more appropriate to do it when we get promoted win a cup or escape relegation? In this case after 2straight promotions back in the premier league with a half table finish I thing a lap of honour is more appropriate and well suited... But that's my opinion I know for sure if there is a pitch invasion I won't be missing it
I think it was 2010 that the players all came out with family members and offspring to do a lap around the Ground, I don't recall an invasion that year either.
A pitch invasion this year would seem a bit pathetic. Last couple of years with promotion, or before with staying up on final days I can understand it, but we are almost certainly going to be safe going into the Stoke game, and I don't see the point in doing it for finishing say 12th in the Prem. Just screams "small time club". Lap of honour by the players much more suited this season.
THIS! Do Man United fans run on the pitch everytime they win the league? No. As stated above by many pitch invasions for avoiding going down on last day..can undertsnad that. For promotions I can understand that. What ****s me off more is those little/big ****s (this might be you and yes I still mean little/big ****s) that run on the pitch while the game is still in process at then end of the season. Pointless!
