not really, telegraph and the sun are making a meal out of this situation, especially the sun, everything which happen all you see in the sun is " Rooney's future is in concern" and all them rubbish.

Rooney was poor against Westham and im sure Rooney himself would admit it too that he was poor, at no point Sir Alex indicated anything about Kagawa is ahead in the packing order ahead of Rooney.

i just can't wait till Rooney to sign that new man utd contract so that we can see the end of " Rooney leaving united concerns" news especially from the sun, i don't know why but they really do seem like they want Rooney to leave us.

Rooney will not leave united this summer or next.

im so tired of this Rooney situation, Rooney ain't going to leave Man Utd.

i wouldn't even be surprised if in the next game if Rooney gets subbed off in the last minute then you see in the papers " Rooney gets subbed in the last minute! he wants to leave!" what a load of rubbish.

Ok Rooney has been pretty poor in the last couple of weeks, but RVP didnt score for about 12hrs and no one complained really. Rooney has far to much media coverage for them to leave him alone, half the crap the write is made up, if he wanted to leave we've seen before he isnt afraid to come out and say exactly that, and SAF himself has said he is going no where, so for me im not reading anymore news on Rooney unless its about performance its pissing me off.
As for Kagawa ive been impressed by his form and his link up play with the forwards, he to hasnt had the greatest of seasons (injurys aswell havnt helped) but on player form he gets the nod over Rooney for Villa, give Welbeck a go upfront his pace should trouble Villa.

Agree with this as obviously Rooney's capable of much better performances in that position as he has shown before.

tbh aside from 2-3 matches, Rooney was poor/average in the past 2-3 months .. RVP meanwhile despite not scoring, his passing and movement were great , so he had some positives unlike Rooney case
but agree those news are just unreliable ..

    Of course he has.

Aside from Shwan who says Rooney wouldn't have scored many at centre forward this season because his crystal ball says so, every time Rooney has played the season at centre forward he has scored as many as RVP has this.

To suggest otherwise is quite frankly bollocks.

However, playing him essentially out of position does largely contribute to his poor form, even though he should accept it and just get on with it.

Windy that is my point exactly i dont give a **** if hes told to play in defence i just want to see some bloody commitment, your right as in he is out of position but Carrick(defence) Welbeck(winger) Valencia(right Back) but yeh they may be out of position but always give it a go.

One thing that I'm disappointed about, is that it seems Rooney will never reach his true potential. If I remember correctly,he had a pretty good 2010-11 season and since then, he's been more and more inconsistent. Maybe its his playing style, which suits younger, faster and more energetic players only. Also the naïvety is gone, the belief that he could be the best in the world. Maybe the rumours hold water, maybe Fergie sees no point in keeping hold of him.

I always remember him for Everton, we bought him for that never say die attitude, running defenders down, challenging for everything, came to us scored hatrick against fernabace, screamers against Newcastle, battled, fought, heading anything and everything, as you say a great 10/11, but since the Rooney of old has cleaned up his act, he seems to if lost that bite, im a HUGE Rooney fan, but I have become disillusioned with his performances, would love him to stay, find the position he feels comfortable with, he won't oust RVP that is clear, he along with Giggs, Ronaldo is the player that used to fill me with excitement, edge of my seat, hard and skillful on the pitch with a little bit of an evil side, but with age you have to adapt and im not sure he is, so if Fergie sees that maybe he should move position, or even leave, I will be gutted but 26yrs of SAF im not going to argue now!

In terms of the age of our players, Rooney (27-28), was supppsed to be in prime, like prime rib,our talisman. But still he is the most immature, baring Nani.

Nani is by far our most disappointing player given his so called skill level, and everytime I've seen him recently (real Madrid the exception) he looks like he has Bambi's legs

Nani has to be one of the most frustrating players we've ever had. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the most talented players in our team. He is capable of moments of brilliance, but his form has been so streaky for us, and it never seems to last very long. He'll be excellent for a month or 2, and then he'll go on a run of playing absolute ****e. It's so frustrating, as he's got so much natural talent:biggrin:

I wonder if we will see him before he leaves (laugh), The Villa match would of been his sort of match nice and open, but not sure if fergie thinks he's worth a run out!

Rooney played second fiddle to Ronaldo and now it's RVP maybe he is fed up and feels he should be the main man.
