13:30 Newton Abbot - Massena (That will do for me today!) A very happy St. George's Day to all forum members, including Sir Barney!
Jezki and Back In Focus for me- thrown in The Black Aeroplane for the treble. Pays just under 14-1. Just think that Jezki will be fresher (Cheltenham was his reapperance after a 3 month absence, whilst this will be Champagne Fever's 4th run since December) and he has the turn of foot to collar CF on a sharp 2m track. Back In Focus will get the ground and all of the 3miles, whilst there are a few questions over Boston Bob (ground, well-being, jockey choice).
Nice to see Royal Guardsman get his head in front - looked a proper horse in winning his 2 bumpers but kind of lost his way after that. Well done to Mrs Nock.
Rule The World on a recovery mission for me. Did me nuggets on him at Chelts, so I'd be gutted if he won without my shilling today! Also - is anyone else having problems with the forum today? I keep getting logged off, and a lot of the buttons don't show (although if you click in the area where they SHOULD be they work!
Reebs you're obviously in the Twilight Zone - everything OK here. Lion On The Prowl looks a shoo-in in the Hunter Chase at Newton Abbot - had some decent form under rules for Kim Bailey. 15/8 is fairly cramped but he really ought to win this.
Just watched that finish from Wolves, great ride Martin Harley. Julie Burke actually looked much stronger than Joe Fanning on the second. Apart from Graham Lee JF is the weakest rider in a finish amongst the "top" jocks imo...GL is still learning obviously and will improve that aspect of his game. Any other contenders?
Bayern might edge it 2-1 I think Dex - sets up the 2nd leg perfectly. I think they'll get a big shock though - they are used to walloping rubbish German teams each week
Yep I'll be glued to t'internet. Alot will depend on Messi - whether he plays the whole match and what his fitness is like. Bayern will have to go for the win tonight, can't believe they'll settle for a draw. But they won't want to leave themselves exposed at the back. Sort of controlled aggression. Be interesting to see how much "info" Guardiola can provide ...................
This Tizzard bumper horse, Third Act, is very interesting. Quite fancy it to beat the Nicholls horse.
The dam has thrown a couple of interesting ones Bob - Eightybarrackstreet rated 129 over hurdles and Canaly 134 over fences. Nice breeding.
16:50 Towcester - Roseini (Will have a little wager on this C/D winner, decent chance of running well).
Another joke of a bumper. Third Act travelling ridiculously easily but stumbled and immediately lost all chance.
So sad for Rule The World and connections...such potential. That looked fatal...fingers crossed it isn't.
