Just goes to show what a shrewd CEO we have, I think I'll send him a tweet later to thank him http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/18/premier-league-finances-club-by-club?INTCMP=SRCH P.S. If I were a QPR fan I'd be more than a little bit concerned, wages 91% of turnover
Fulham are at 78% which not that clever either although Fayed may never call back any money he has pumped in to the club
Al Fayed seems to like being there, especially since he always chasing that passport he'll never get he'll want to own as many UK businesses as possible.
All the indications are we are going to strengthen. If you want a good bet on who'll be strong out of this year if go for us and villa if they can stay up.
It's certainly a joke, but not in the way the binners would like http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/ipswich_town_make_a_loss_of_15_96m_1_2003376
I can only see the wage bill increasing at QPR for this current season with signings such as Loic Remy etc. I can't believe that Tony Fernandes will bother staying with them next season. If he pulls out can it go any other way than another club folding?
thank god ,or whoever, for our board. we may complain about lack of star players signed, well some on here do, but at least we are now financially stable. from now on things can only improve for the team and us supporters. OTBC.
Full credit to all the Board for achieving so much so sensibly. It can be frustrating sometimes when things aren't going our way, but the benefits will be there next year with RvW and other quality players coming into such a well run set-up.
I did think QPR would get in a mess right from the start. Fernandes doesn't really want QPR but he wanted A club. And many people wanted him here, especially after Cullum didn't take over. But Fernandes wanted his London club. Thank goodness were were too stoic for his taste. You can throw as much money at a club as you want, but it has to be managed. Abramovic has done it successfully because his club was run by Kenyon and managed by a succession of top managers who brought trophies. I believe Fernandes thought hughes and him could just snap their fingers and name players would do the business. But I bet the players with most appearances for them this season will be the Hills, Derrys etc. And they simply are not good enough to keep QPR in the Prem. Not their fault its just the way it is. Even Redknapp couldn't get them to gel and play and I would be surprised to see him at the helm next season. Thank goodness Delia turned down Cullum and brought in Macca.
You're spot on with regard all things QPR and TF, but your last point, about turning down Cullum and bringing in DM, does anybody know how she found him? That by itself is the best bit of business this club has EVER done!
Redruth, you say "even Redknapp". you obviously rate him higher than i do. if you look at his managerial record overall, there is not much for him to crow about. but he is the darling of the media, so must be a messiah figure.
I thought it might have had something to do with Delias connections to Fulham but I could be wrong. Also, generic comment about her having her fingers in many pies. You know, because she's a cook.
