Yes I know its really early to do this but its either post this thread or do some work. I think this is going to be really difficult to call, after two good seasons its easy to assume we be up there come the end of next season. However I think next season will be one of the hardest in a long time with three big teams coming down to the Championship. I think we will keep in the top 8 all season and then hopefully just at the end claim the last play off spot. Thoughts?
I think a lot depends on not just who we bring in (if anybody) but who we manage to retain. On the face of it, I think your prediction seems pretty decent.
The 3 tema scoming down have big money for 2 years to spend so have to be favourites. Personally I see Birmingham sacking Mcleish by christmas. As for Forest, not much needs changing, 2 defenders, either Moussi and or another player in the midfield with another striker if Earnie goes should give us more depth and we'llbe top 6 again.
Nice to see some optimism, I remember this time last year people were predicting that we would struggle to get into the top half. What a difference a year can make
After watching a few streams of your games this season I would agree largely with this comment. Especially if you can replicate the away performance at Swansea on a regular basis. Certainly shore up the back line a bit. Get that sorted and Forest should be there or thereabouts again next time
Agree with you Canary and good luck to the Canaries, amazing achievement for back to back promotion and I hope Norwich stay up
@ Tricky - I agree. 606 was all doom and gloom last season and people need to be realistic and realise how mch quality there is in the league but also that Forest can beat anyone and will do well this season Go Billy!
I also think that coming down a division can really unsettle certain teams, and that these teams suddenly playing in a more physical league can really struggle. Two good examples of this would be Hull and Middlesborough, in no danger of going down but hardly setting the league on fire. I would also like to say good luck to Norwich, always had a soft spot for them. Absolutely incredible to get back to back promotion like you did
