According to newspapers today Fulham and Swansea are keen on jack cork. Think there's more chance of QPR staying up than this happening. Both arguably lesser clubs and the ambition we have he would be an idiot to even consider moving. Does anyone know the contract he has at the moment?

He's the last of the ones we've been clambering to sign a new contract. I can't see him leaving to join either of those two teams. For me, get him on a 4/5 year contract, then Shaw and we have the core of our team signed up long term for a rosy future.

The future's bright, it's red and white!

Who choose Fulham or Swansea over us...hardly an upgrade. Cork's return coincided with our up turn and he has been picked for every game, so no sign we would be interested either. They can want all they want...ain't going to happen.

Paper talk just recently has been funny, some of the stuff they make up is just astounding!
Anyone read the Ravel Morrison signing for ManCity? The fact he's even mentioned as great young talent still surprises me. He needs to go & play football in L1/2& prove that he's a footballer first & foremost.
Then there was the Todarov returning to Pompey after ten years rumour, just because there's been a little reunion down there recently doesn't mean they are going to sign the class of 2002 again!
I'll tell you, you get better stories off randoms on twitter!

Really been impressed with Jack Cork this season, he is very much the unsung hero of the side, does the simple things well, his link up play and movement off the ball is superb.
Time to get the watches out and get him signed up.

He had a practically flawless game yesterday. Had a great shot, which deserved to be a goal, which is the only thing his game lacks. Brilliant player.

Totally agree Chilco. If he was scoring a few goals people would be talking International call up!

If Vorm had anything about him as a bloke, he'd have let that one in on purpose; we all wanted that to go in.

O/T, but what's the matter with Beefy's Corner. Seems frozen...can't read last post. Tried posting myself (only a full stop because I have nothing to say)...says I have, but you can't open it.

Cork and Schneiderlin must be the first two names on the team sheet every week. The team is built around those two, and as it's clearly a team going places I can't see either being lured away to Fulham or Swansea.

I should imagine/hope that we will see a photo of Cork with an Eterna round his wrist very soon. Definitely the unsung player of the season.

Seems like his agent getting rumours into the papers to coincide with his new contract negotiations....obviously wants a bigger watch

Cork should sack his agent. If he is going for rumours they should at least be credible!

Very good player, and getting his signature on an extension would give me the same buzz as getting a new signing

No chance unless it is a top 6 side. Even then I think he will most likely stay rather than bench warm. Could be a different story in January if he continues as he is doing and becomes more than a bench warmer prospect for the Top 6. At the moment I can't see the top 6 thinking of him as a first 11 starter.

There is always the chance that he has set his heart on a big move and maybe is stalling over a contract. Or perhaps our new boss wants someone better, seems unlikely but you never know. But we are all just guessing.

He's still got another two seasons on his contract so it's equally likely we haven't offered him a new one yet.
