    My team would be:

    ----------------- Mignolet ----------------

    Ivanovic - Vertonghen - A Williams - Baines

    ------------- Carrick -- Fellaini ------------

    - Suarez ---------- Michu ---------- Mata -

    ----------------- Van Persie ---------------

I'm leaving Bale out because he didn't really start to make an impact until after Christmas.

Carrick has been the best centre midfielder by a country mile mate. In my eyes, he's under rated.

Not sure I would go as far to say he's been the best midfielder mate just my opinion

Cazorla, Toure and Bale would be in for Feillani, Carrick and Mata for me. Bale simply must be in any side, crazy to suggest otherwise. He has beaten several sides on his own.

Mata is the best player in the league for me, and has been superb in a poor season.

Carrick does deserve a place, he has been the glue all season for a team that has cantered the league.

Hard to leave Michu out but there is better players ahead of him, I think a lot of people are blinded by Michu's price tag as he has been by far the best value signing this season but not he best player. Not sure how anyone can leave Suarez out on footballing reasons either and Carrick has been good but a 'team of the season' doesnt have players who do the simple thing right and has to have all out attack in my opinion, no room for holding players.

Tough to say but I'd not argue with many mentioned so far, I think Mig may have it but keepers are a tricky one to judge.

Also Billy if you start excluding any player who throws themself to the ground any time they see the opportunity you'll end up with no Premiership players in it at all...

    ---------------- Mignolet ----------------

    -----Ivanovic----Collins-------Baines--------

    -----------Carrick-----Fellaini---------------

    Bale-------------------------------------Suarez

    ------------------Van Persie-----------------

    ----------Michu-------------Benteke---------------

Mignolet - Fantastic season really. Would have been a great thing for the North East if Krul had have deservedly got it last season over Hart. Krul saved us so many points last season. Mignolet has been a huge part in your success this season.

Ivanovic - No question. Solid defender, and weighed in with good goals.

Collins - I know some of you will be like "whaaaaaaa-", but I think he's been a really good signing by West Ham. He's been part of a defence that's kept a good amount of clean sheets, and has done well.

Baines - Goals, assists, good defending. Simple as.

Carrick - Under rated. Superb passer and interceptor of the ball. Reads the game better than any other midfield in this league.

Fellaini - Massive part of Everton's success. Weighed in with goals, assists and done well all round.

    Bale

Suarez - As much of a prick as he is, without him, Liverpool look ordinary. He's the best short range passer they have, he's gotten some fabulous assists, and he's the top goal scorer.

Van Persie - I wont say he's been the complete difference in the title race, but Man Utd made a perfect signing. United don't play spectacular football, but the way is precise and patient, and they need a striker who can put away the half chances that United constantly create with their short passing, patient style.

Michu - Brilliant first season in the PL. Beast in the air, great finisher and he's been fantastic for Swansea.

Benteke - The only reason Villa aren't already relegated. Fantastic player. Wins everything in the air, good finisher, fantastic pace and skill for his height. What a signing.

    FOUR strikers Tash?!

I'd say OP's team is about right, except replace Michu for Bale, put him on the left, Suarez in the middle behind RVP, and Mata on the right. So...

    ----------------- Mignolet ----------------

    Ivanovic - Vertonghen - A Williams - Baines

    ------------- Carrick -- Fellaini ------------

    - Mata ---------- Hannibal ---------- Bale -

    ----------------- Van Persie ---------------

Absolute madness to not include Bale. You could say RVP only performed for half the season also, and Michu.

    Lol.

What do you base your opinions on out of interest because pound for pound he's been the most consistent player for united this season. The most UNDER rated player in the league.

Evidently forgotten that he educated you at old Trafford and was given the 2nd half off as a reward, then probably was MOTM at your place.

At least back up why you think he's over rated, or you just sound like another bitter scouser.

Go easy Terry you have to remember Carrick is a Geordie lad so its fair enough if some of the Sunderland fans aren't keen to credit him, I'm sure there have been plenty of Man Utd fans been the same regarding Gerrard over the years!

Big no to Suarez! player of the year is about more than performance for me. It's about also being professional and conducting yourself correctly setting a good example.
