Am I the only one who wants him to at least have a full pre season with us He's quick, can reach the byline, good in the air and as strong as an ox. Still a raw talent. If he could get a full assessment and given a bit of work by Paolo then I think he could still become a good, cheap versatile squad player which would help with the wage bill keeping more money in the pot to sign first team targets. I know he's inconsistent but that's an area in which PDC can really help as well as polishing off his raw talent. Your thoughts?
Agree mate. I always thought the stick Elmo got at times was completely unfair, thought he turned into a bit of a scapegoat near the end of Bruce's reign. The lad is still fairly young, and as you say has all the ingredients to be a decent squad player at least, and cheap as chips too. Would like to see what PDC can make of him.
Hull fans absolutely love him, i've been on there not606 forum a couple of times, they are very welcoming btw
I think he is a crap top flight player and that will again be found out next year with Hull. Hopefully we can now sell him and use the money to put towards a far better player.
I definitely believe that he has got the makings of becoming a very good player given the right coaching..
Good squad player and would have him ahead of Bardsley. We need to buy a quality right back in the summer though and I imagine the money Hull pay for Elmo will go towards it
Wasn't given a chance to show us what he can or cannot do, however do we gamble on him playing well for us in the PL or cash in? For me at least keeping him would mean weakening Hull (assuming the are promoted) letting him go for a decent price would mean more in the coffers for PDC to use on transfers. I would keep him to weaken Hull.
How long left on his contract? I would expect 5 million. Not to give away another player with potential.
