.. already guessed that kiddo!! ... but no problem ... was rather like you at that age ... I traveled all over the country watching the pile of ***** when I was in my late teens and early twenties, always expecting them to win despite the 'realistic' outcome (which was also the usual outcome) .. could always make an argument for why it was going to be different in the next match .... . had some brilliant times to be fair but shedloads of disappointments too ... and like IUTBJF, glynak and Whitwick 'experience' has taught me that runs like our current one are unlikely - not guaranteed -(says the desperate optimist still within) but unlikely to turn around into promotion form in such a short space of time ...

IUTBJF makes some very good points about Pearson's man management - others will be quick to blame Sven etc - but you are not going to be able to manage in the Premier League if you can't manage 'big' personalities ... trying to be tactful!!

... and finally - if all Nigel can come up with is mumblings around "we need to work harder" then we are doomed - he needs to change things - tactics and personnel - drop the ones underpreforming and give others a chance - this bunch, more or less, have now gone 13 games with one win ... 'harder work' ain't gonna change that by itself ...

I think you misunderstand me. Im not one of the fans who thinks we are the best in the league or anything like that. Im one of those who doesnt really mind if we dont go up - im aware at the beginning of the season that there are about 15 teams all aiming for the same aim and only 3 of them can make it, but if you look like your manager is building a team correctly then why change. Im unbelievable unfickle. I accept that all teams go through good and bad form, though maybe just a little naive between the difference of 'bad form' and time to change.

What i do do is back the team and never boo. Im aware that no player goes out to play badly, and the more people get on their backs the more pressure mounts and the worse the performance.

With crowds like ours we could make it an absolute home fortress, by every game roaring them, behind them all the time, applauding even when they have lost as it makes all the effort.

... but no. We booed when gallagher got subbed on before he even kicked a ball. We boo pretty much every single time we lose at home regardless of the performance. You cant win them all.

I just think that a majority of fans are unbelievable negative.

    I believe.

ed - I have never booed a Leicester player either - more because I think it is counter-productive to the team as a whole than in regards to how a particular individual may feel

... but I can understand the frustration of those that do - they may not have it in for Gallagher personally - it might be more to do with Pearson's decision of who to bring on and who goes off that attracts the boos

I'm not a Gally fan - one trick pony who rarely puts a real shift in - if he charged around trying to win the ball back after he's lost it and got stuck in a bit too then I don't think our fans would get on his back half as much - we've always applauded 'effort' and 'commitment' at our club - but what they can't stand is players (on incredibly high wages) - just standing around feeling sory for themselves if it isn't going their way - and I can quite understand that.

... and you say that Nigel is taking us in the 'right direction' - obviously not - we've been sinking so fast we might end up getting 'the bends' ..

... and the building? ... if by this you mean the younger players now at the club; is that Nigel or his scouts? ...

... the BIG question is WHY hasn't he been able to turn this around in 14 games? ... incredibly bad luck or very poor management?

... I think the fans are now divided - not about supporting their team ... but on the reason behind the malaise.

One fact is undeniable - if our first 14 games had achieved the same points total then 99% of fans would be calling for his head.

We know what we are capable of, it wasnt that long ago we were the most feared team in the entire league. And obviously its not all luck and something has gone seriously wrong, but a combination of bad luck, bad confidence and id say poor tactics too has gone for the slump. However, NPs players - De Laet, James, Keane, Morgan and Drinkwater have all played honourably through the form. And knockaert, marshall we all know what he can do.

I just believe we have seen enough to see we know what we can do under NP and when/if we go up under him our young players will be ready, we may just need to wait a bit.

The reason for major disenchantment this time is the way we know the team can play and has played this season, we have gone from the sublime to the rediculous.. once again the fans have been led up the garden path...our expectations were lifted only for the fookin wheels to come off big time..Im fed up with the lot of it.. and them, cos deep down I don't think they really care as much as us<ok>

As stated above, its now out of our hands, we could win our last two games and still miss out, were now reliant on other teams dropping points, we should never have been in this position really, given some of the football we played earlier in the season, but in all honesty we only have ourselves to blame, until the unlikely win over Bolton, its been a disaterous run of form, and i have a feeling it mayb just be a case of too little too late

... was always my concern - to guarantee being in it we had to win all 4 remaining - which is a big ask - just hope Cardiff don't take their foot off the pedal now that they've already won the title ... if we don't beat Watford that might be irrelevant anyway ..
