To balance opinion, who is still happy with our current situation ?

Last week there where some really overly optimistic comments posted and most people who have a realistic knowledge of the championship and city would not have agreed with all the 'we're going smash wolves' and 'We'll put 4 past Brizzle' ****.

I never expected a win at Wolves and would have happily taken a draw before kick off. Last night although hoping for a win I thought it would be a very difficult game. I came away happy with a point. TBH Bristol were by no way the worst team I seen this season and could have won the game.

I'll also be happy with a point at Barnsley, again another game which we could easily loose.

So who'd take a point from the last two games then?

Finally, I blame MOTD and all those football highlight shows, they only show the 5 minutes of exciting football and all those ****s who only turn up for the odd match or listen to the ****e commentary come expecting to see 90 mins worth of highlights, with goals flying in from all directions. FFS get a grip!

We've just seen what a team with no pressure on them can do. Why would you want to be playing the champions with no pressure on them and us possibly needing to get a result against them.

I want us to beat barnsley

I think one point will see us through.

I expect Watford and palace to drop points before next Saturday!

Well I am sure if you asked any Watford fan, they would prefer to be in our current position than theirs.

    Too true, are you going?

It'll be a great atmosphere, hopefully as good as Ipswich!

Ye I am. Think the tykes missed a trick selling tickets for twenty quid. I worked there last year and they tried to charge 32 quid for a night match against palace I think.

How can anyone not be content....????? How easily some seem to forget lock out at Fer Ark, administration, away games at all sorts of salubrious places when a tubbing was usually on the cards, etc., etc., If some don't remember those days then google it or better still ask an old bastard sat next to you at KC - if you're really unlucky it might be me and I'll bore the arse off you with tales of all our yesterdays.....
We will go up, I still think this time next week it'll be all over - whatever today may bring, flathead's lot are picking up again it seems & can't see Watford going there & getting 3 points next Friday.....

Content?, I'm ****ing delighted, best position we've ever been in in 109 years going in to the last 2 games. Good reality check RogerMelly, never forget Fish/Dolan/Lee and crowds slipping below 3K at BP, its been a long winding road but we are almost there and STONGER than in 2008 in every dept. We r ull.

More than happy where we are. It's in our hands.

Can't judge a whole season on a single game or run of games.

At times we have played some of the best stuff I've ever seen from our team and torn the opposition new a-holes. At other times there has been some mediocrity which has still earned us points and some utter dog tod which has rightly been punished. However, you can say that for pretty much any team in any league.

We have accumulated sufficient points over the course of the games we have played to put us in the position we find ourselves. All the other sides have had the exact same opportunity and the league table reflects how they have performed. We have done enough to be where we are on merit.

If Watford lose today then that's their fault and not ours for being 'lucky'. They know / knew what they have / had to do against Blackburn.

In a way I kind of hope Watford win today and we go to Barnsley and win in front of a packed away end at Oakwell.

Nobody in their right mind could whinge about our position, thought we'd be an outside play-off bet, that's all. It's the supporters being edgy and nervous, they want to see the job done. I agree another point will probably be enough.

we are making a meal of it. We've scored one goal in the last 3 home games and that was a lucky free kick. I can't see us scoring another goal this season. We still might go up, scoring 59 goals which is incredible !

You could look at how few goals we've scored, or invert that and acknowledge how amazing or defence has been.

You don't score 78 points in the championship by chance.

i think all our best players are the defenders. Our defence is great. I do like to see goals and excitement though ! A 2.2 draw would have been a better match to watch for example.
We have edged so many games by the odd goal. We played crap last night but it's more likely the pressure of the situation. We look a millions miles worse than Reading, Southampton and West Ham were last season.

    I couldn't disagree more.

Another season perhaps - but not this season. Our entire promotion campaign has come from the fact that we have one of the best defences in the division. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it shows that even now, going into the final stages of the season, we still have our core strengths intact. I can't think of many goals this season where we can't point to a reason. (i.e. Fathi at Wolves) - there's not been many goals scored simply because we couldn't handle the opposition.

Reading, Southampton and West Ham last season had better attacks. Fair enough. Where do you think we'll be recruiting in the summer? To say we're a million miles worse, just because our strengths are different is well wide of the mark IMO.

Everyone should be happy this season. We have exceeded expectations and just the fact that we are soooo close to automatic promotion with 2 games left is fantastic.

Happy with where we are, who wouldn't be?

I think this whole "shut up, we're still second' isn't really justified. The disappointment isn't about where we are in the table; if you take the context of promotion out, we still lost to the bottom of the league side and played crap. That's what people are pissed off about. If you put the context back in, the worry is that Watford spanked Blackburn today whereas we have a tricky trip to Barnsley to come so naturally people are going to be nervous and edgy.

I really think we can pick up the points needed, but the manner in which we are doing it isn't good enough. They need to sit down, watch the DVD of the match and work out how best to bounce back. Of course with our form, we are due to win next week!

They have a tricky trip to Leicester, Leicester need to win to have a chance at entering the Play-offs.
