Doesn't mean buying existing prem players, or keeping the current ones, but getting in the strong potential. Like Swansea did.
Redknapp said he was a great lad but I don't think there was enough time to work with him (if he saw a few gaps). I think he'll be right in the mix after a full pre-season.
Emphatically, Emphatically THIS!!!!!! Was begging last time we were in the Championship that we needed to bring in players for the Prem not the CCC. Warnock brought in players such as Hill, Derry, Smith and the like which have always been good above avergae Championship players but were never going to cut the Prem. We musn't get caught up in needing to pay Prem wages for Prem players - let's face it the wages we have been paying are not "normal" Prem wages, they are Top European Club wages!!!! Faurlin is someone who I feel can and would do a great job in Championship and could/would make the grade to Prem in a stable club. Currently the players we have on our books that I think fit that bill and relatively OK expense wise are: Green - Albeit 15K too much Onouha Traore Faurlin Taraabt Jenas Remy The rest are not up to Prem standard no matter how wide the Saint opens my eyes or are and should have been way out of our league wages wise!! Means another big turnaround but hey, it's either that or keep the Counts and watch them bleed Tony and Co of funds and us of passion for one more year!
Fantastic news if true. Faurlin would be fantastic for us back in the Champ He also sports fantastic loafers. Walked past him in Westfield once, he was sporting what looked like a pair of freshly killed beaver skin slip-ons Fantastic
Alright so it wasn't at Westfield, but he was wearing some amazing shoes. I would of got a closer look to see what kind but he slammed his letterbox shut on my fingers
Carlos! Welcome Back! Where you been, Colombia? I rated Ale so much before he got that injury i got a shirt with his name on the back. But he didn't seem to get his form back, particularly his speed, so I don't know what he can do now. It would be good if he came back and at least did some pre-season training with us to show if he was up to it again, or not.
Agree with most of this. The key must be... that while he is not the finished product, it is the coach's job to develop his weaknesses as well as his strengths. A work in progress, to a degree, but will be invaluable in the Championship for us now; we will need him.
Yes, fair comment mate ............. I was thinking more about the current situation were in with trying to off load over-priced players, cheers.
